Had not been here for many, many years. So glad we went lovely food and beautiful inside. Parked ourselves by the fire and it was a rare treat. Food beautifully presented and tasty but not especially warm. When am next in the area will certainly pop in for a bite to eat.

Great food, friendly staff, lots fo beers, charming atmosphere. What more do you need? Definitely book for a weekend, or drop in for lunch like we did from our canal boat. Watch out while crossing the busy road, but it 's worth it. Loved the menu option of a coffee small serve of dessert deal. Perfect when you can 't fit in a full size dessert, but you must know what it tastes like!
