Lovely atmosphere and stylish decor. Very friendly welcom by helpful staff. Only had coffee and cake but the food looked fantastic.

The poached eggs on my avocado toast were cold, but the rest of food was good, and the service from Lucas and his colleagues was superb. Really lovely staff you've got there! Nice interior too.

We were staying here for one night which included a course meal. The food was excellent. My only gripe is that drinks took ages to arrive, we were half way through our mail meal when the wine arrived. However the food made up for...this View menu

We had a lovely overnight stay at this quirky hotel as a group of friends. The rooms are lovely, the food was great and the staff were really friendly and helpful. The full English breakfast was amazing. Would highly recommend this hotel.

They claim to have spent mill on a refurb If so Its a shame to sink the Ship for a Hapeth of Tar ! Management need to check rooms and make sure they are ready to let. The Restaurant needs Two new Managers, One...in the Kitchen and One out Front We were not asked how we wanted our Beef so it came with a pulse and Cold Plates, we sent it back and asked for Hot Plates to eat off, not forthcoming a shame as the meat was delicious. Never known Sticky toffee Pudding to be served Cold and Dry, same with Bread and Butter Pudding, Sent back, came back slightly warm but not really edible. Restaurant need a shake up and some quality control. Plus they should ban Dogs

From the start the finish our stay at the White Horse was really lovely. We travelled from Suffolk to meet our uncle for lunch and also stayed overnight . We arrived earlier than our lunch booking but sat in the lounge and had drinks.... We had lunch which was lovely the food was nicely presented and the service could not have been better . We had to apologise to the staff and other guests because our uncle is a little loud at times . After lunch we sat in the lounge until he got his taxi to go home . I would highly recommend the White Horse. The staff were all very welcoming. The hotel is in a beautiful traditional building with modern features that I really liked. The bar and restaurant areas are very good. It has an excellent choice of food and drink...with many veggie options for dinner and breakfast. Dogs are very welcome in all areas which is a big positive as you can eat your meals with them. Our room was lovely we rated it the best we have had visited in this style of hotel. The tea and coffee choice in the room was very good too. Just a one night stay after spending the afternoon at Dunsfold. Glad we booked a parking space, and amused to find a printed notice telling me I had to pull the handle to open the door, I could have been stuck in the car park...all night. Hotel accommodation excellent, clean, warm and very comfortable. The recent refurb meant that it all looked to be in perfect condition. We couldn't have asked for anything more. The staff were very friendly and helpful, we really felt welcome. Sadly our stay was marred by a less than impressive meal. there was a wait in excess of twenty minutes while we waited for our wine to reach us. Odd really as others arriving in the bar area were all being served much...

Very average maybe even below average by today’s standards. We were sat in the restaurant area and asked if we could move into the “pub area” but sadly the tables were all reserved (I’m sure they could have moved us around). The restaurant area had...no vibe to it, the lighting is bad and didn’t have the atmosphere like in the pub area. The lager on tap was Coors light, which I have never seen at a pub, doesn’t even taste like beer in my opinion, so we went for a Cornish lager which was ok.
