"Me and my boyfriend found this pub when searching for things to do and places to go whilst staying at the local Bridge Lake Farm. We booked for Wednesday to go mid week and break up our stay a little. What can I say? They had TARQUINS gin… as a Cornish girl this was wonderful to see! On our arrival we had a drink in the beer garden as we were 40 minutes earlier, the atmosphere was lovely both inside and out. At 17:50 we asked if we could sit at our table with our drinks, within 10 minutes we had ordered starters and mains. I had the salt and pepper squid and my boyfriend had the king prawns to start, for main I had the Dragon Burger and he had the George Burger… the food was OUTSTANDING, the wait was not too long and the staff were lovely and friendly. Would definitely recommend The George and Dragon …"

my mother is in the nursing home opposite the pub. we have been there a few times, and eating can not be failed, and the service is consistently excellent. the personal could not be more helpful.

Just spent a really lovely afternoon meeting up with other Everards business owners, hosted by the George and Dragon team who did us proud. The food was excellent and we were all made so welcome. Thank you all.

We attended a business Get Together as a meet and greet like minded buisness owners and what a great welcome we got. Dave and Nikki and the team made us very welcome and if the nibbles we were offered are any gauge on the food offering...WOW. We will make the effort to be back

Had lunch at the George Dragon with my Son today, which was my first visit here for many years, and it was fantastic! Lovely food, good menu, and the service was excellent. Thanks to the fantastic waitress and the whole team. This is a lovely old cosy village pub. Will definitely be coming again!

Not our local, but my husband and I have visited this pub many times, everytime we see our our good friends nearby. So I thought it was overdue for a review. It has a welcoming and vibrant atmosphere and we love that it is dog friendly. Having eaten here quite a few times, I can confidently say that the food is lovely. Cracking beef roast and probably the best pork chop I have eaten in a very long time. We will continue to return.

Arranged a family get together at this pub after being impressed by their efforts to accommodate what we needed. They provided a complimentary separate room for our party (10 adults, 6 children, a baby and 2 dogs) as we had children and dogs to control. The room was perfect, the food was excellent and the service was very helpful and friendly. I would certainly recommend this pub restaurant and if I visit the area again I will definitely visit again with confidence, knowing that it will be an enjoyable experience.

"we had read very good reviews about the green room, me and 2 friends who have not seen themselves for a few years decided to go for the afternoon. we telephoned, booked afternoon tea and paid our deposit 2 days before. when we arrived. the waiter took us on our table and said: “I’m sorry, but the system didn’t update, so they didn’t know that we wanted to go the afternoon.” that seemed very strange when they had taken the deposit from us 2 days ago! the waiter said we had to order from the normal midday menu. after we had eaten our salad! we wanted to order 3 coffees, I asked the waitress if we could order coffee, her answer was: “It’s difficult because I don’t have a pen!” I didn’t reply, there are only 3 coffees and cakes. I then asked about the bill that lasted about 15 minutes when they finally arrived, they had not taken the deposit we had previously paid, and the waitress said: "She must talk to the manager, I explained that I stayed 10 minutes on the parking lot, so she could be fast. When I asked her what happened to the bill she said, they must go into the bar and sort it with the manager. I was very annoyed by the lack of customer service, not only had they forgotten our afternoon, but had also accused the wrong crowd. he was quite arrogant and served other people and let us wait. he said he would take £11 for the mistake with the afternoon! it is a shame that eating and the environment is very beautiful. Unfortunately, the customer service makes this place so much down. it is safe to say we will never return or will not recommend it to one of our friends."
