I had the penne pasta with rocket pesto as it was the only vegan main on the menu. It was decent, but a bit small for the price. They also do a vegan brownie (no vegan cream or ice cream) which is lovely.

We came here for lunch and dinner, both were gorgeous. Lovely and helpful staff is there to serve you. Prices were reasonable for food and drinks and portions are big. Presentation of the meals was high class too.

the castle inn has some vegan options on the menu. eating was very delicious (although quite expensive.) we had the chickpeas curry (which was very spicy, although not dressed as such) and a mushroom soup that was also tasty.

the only vegan main option is a £11 dish of quite tasteless penne pasta in basilikum pesto. the vegan dessert option is a £7 chocolate brownie that they no longer offer with non-dairy ices and it was average. boring, uninspired and overpriced.

Absolutely delicious food. Haddock and chips and Beef steak pie were the best I have ever eaten. We were on a day tour and on a tight time schedule but this character pub ensured our food was brought in double quick time. Thoroughly recommend it. Thumbs up from us View menu

Not sure if it was a time of day thing but having read quite a few of the reviews of this place I'm wondering where many of the other diners ate. We liked it so much we went 2 days in a row for late tea at about 1830. Food was hit and tasty. Kids loved the pizzas. Moussaka was very good according to the wife as was the lasagne. As for the mixed kebab YUMMY YUMMY.

Planning for a day trip to Loch Ness, I wasn't sure if I would find any veg-friendly places for my lunch stop so I was delighted to find this HappyCow listing, and quite satisfied by the actual experience as well! The menu has clearly marked all the vegan and vegetarian items if you're vegan, there are a half dozen (including some surprising choices like a cassoulet and a brownie, and some less surprising like salads) and if you're just vegetarian, a half dozen more. Having been here many times I was very excited to be sharing a meal with far travelled friends. The experience was far from memorable other than poor. Previously warmly welcomed with the best Mac n cheese ever, I stupidly tried to re-enact my perfect evening but the dish was served in a small ramekin bowl with burnt breadcrumbs on top, tasteless, unseasoned and certainly lacked cheese flavour, gone in four fork fulls, not large fork fulls I may add… clearly chef change to a bad one!
