Really lovely flavours on the single vegan options for each course. Very good food and will go again. Would've been 5if there was more than a single vegan choice. As there wasn't, we both ended up eating exactly the same thing.

Thank you for a delicious Sunday lunch. The food was incredible, and this from someone who doesn't think I can eat a better roast than my own. Service was so polite, welcoming and accommodating. Will definitely be back soon to sample the rest of the menu. Cant recommend this place enough

excellent restaurant with a small but well equipped menu. everything was beautifully presented and the food was tasty cooked and delicious. especially impressed by the stone bass with spiced carrot pee, Israeli giant couscous, sapphire green beans. excellent chips. Strawberry Cake Cake Cake Sticky toffee for pud both decent. young friendly team of service staff.

The meal cost around £50 to £60 per person, and I found the value to be excellent for the quality of food and service we received. The ambiance was inviting, making it a perfect setting for a nice evening out. This restaurant is expertly run by a skilled chef who understands the importance of quality ingredients and knows how to create complex, layered flavors. I tried the Bream, which was served with dill, carrots, and a sea vegetable. My description of the flavor doesn't do it justice; it was exceptional. The fish was cooked to perfection, with crisp edges and a tender center. My partner opted for the beef cheeks, which were incredibly tender and flavorful—exactly what you'd hope for. In my opinion, this is undoubtedly the best restaurant in Kendal.

Booked last minute for a Sunday dinner when friends visited. I phoned and spoke to Helen (manager and asked if they could accommodate for a severe nut (tree nut and peanuts allergy. Helen explained that all food is cooked fresh and they are confident with knowing what each dishes ingredients are and they will ensure clean utensils and work stations are used to prepare the allergy meal. Helen advised her husband was the chef (as it's a family business! And she would advise him of the allergy and also print a separate menu taking off the meals that contained nuts.
