"Located just from Norwich City highstreet, this charming and unassuming pub is tucked away behind the Bell, just up timber Hill. Possibly the most BEAUTIFUL HISTORIC pub in Norfolk if not the UK. Stunningly preserved period features throughout, comfortable, warm and a variety of drinks and extremely attentive/friendly staff. Perfect for socialising or enjoying live sports, there are a host of seating areas, many on different t levels of the building. Just the full package, cannot recommend an establishment more highly and strongly suggest you visit as soon as possible."

The old pub has a very pleasant vibe. The service and atmosphere are both friendly and inviting. Definitely worth returning, perhaps multiple times.

Without a doubt, the best pub in Norwich. Always has been, always will be. Great beer, live sports, plenty of cozy corners to sit down in if you need somewhere a little more private.

One of the best city centre pubs in Norwich. If you love good beer and sport this is the place for you. Lots of screens showing live sport, even in the loos . The food is great. Loaded chips are one of our favs, goes well with what ever your drinking.

Lovely beer, unfortunately a bit chilly as the door was open on a cold Spring day. Unfortunately didn't see the beer tapas option, three beer tasters for £4:20. Will definitely try that next time as they had a large selection of beers I hadn't tried, including the murderers own bitter.

This restaurant truly embodies the essence of a traditional pub. The black oak beams and wooden trims, along with the stands and priest holes, create a cozy and character-filled atmosphere. There is also a cafe attached for those seeking a lighter option, but the pub itself is where the true charm lies. One can't help but wonder how many mischievous individuals have passed through these same walls over the years.

I had an incredible dining experience at this restaurant. The menu offers a great variety of delicious options that are not overwhelming. There are excellent vegetarian choices and the service is quick. Best of all, the prices are fantastic! My friend recently started a gluten-free diet and the server was extremely knowledgeable and helpful in recommending dishes that could be adapted to fit their dietary restrictions. This restaurant is top-notch and I'm thrilled to have it in my city. I give it a 5-star rating for food, service, and atmosphere.

"Went for Beauty and The Beast afternoon tea yesterday. Utterly stunning building and the room we were sat in was decorated beautifully. The service from start to finish was lovely although we did have to flag someone down anytime we needed something as we were not approached at all for more drinks or if we wanted our scones. The sandwiches were lovely and cut perfectly if not a little bland. The chicken roll was lovely and the toastie was nice but would benefit from stronger cheese as it didn’t really taste of anything. The scones were perfect and some of the best I’ve ever eaten. The sausage rolls were amazing as were the little tart and salmon mousse. The cakes very much let it all down. The blueberry cake tasted of nothing and seemed greasy. The macaron again tasted of very little and the red food colouring stained everything it touched. The lemon cake was nice but the icing was awful and it seemed to be made from margarine rather than actual butter. The chocolate mousse was lovely if not a little strong for the children. Both the savoury and sweet biscuits were out of this world. Our biggest complaint is that 4 of us were squeezed into a small table. We really struggled for space. I couldn’t drink my tea and had to hand back my pot of tea as we simply didn’t have space for it. We felt incredibly cramped. It would of been nice to have some music in line with the themed afternoon tea playing too perhaps?"
