"Sloppy service, watched a waitress tip a pint of beer over a couple, with no real apology or any manager or senior staff stepping in to take over. The couple actually left didn’t eat in the end. The young waitress was clearly untrained she had no idea what she was doing. This a reflection on the management leaving inadequate staff to serve on their own. Food is nice enough, service needs to improve massively. We had a vegan on our table who was presented with cows milk with her coffee again just poor service unfortunately. Very dissapointed with the food. Both had a roast which was cold and veg was rock hard and other bits burnt. As usual, a lovely atmosphere and decor with the real log fire. The food was all well cooked, tasty and plentiful. Importantly the staff member asked if we had any food allergies. The staff were all polite, friendly and helpful and work hard, especially our server Kacie. Overall a good experience for a celebration meal!
