"Having visited for both drinks and meals a few times, I've found the menu to be sophisticated and delicious, featuring plenty of variety. If you're relaxing in the garden, I highly recommend the cheese fritters—they pair wonderfully with a chilled glass of Prosecco. The pub also offers an extensive wine list and a selection of cocktails. Inside, the pub exudes old-world charm with a modern twist. While I cherish the warm weather, I’m already looking forward to seeing a cozy fire crackling in the two fireplaces when the colder months arrive! The staff are friendly and welcoming, making it the kind of place where I’d feel comfortable stopping by alone for a light lunch or just a drink. I can't wait to try their Sunday lunch, which I've heard great reviews about from those who have already been! Given that it's a completely new team, the service was understandably a bit slow as they were still getting the hang of things. However, on my most recent visit, I was impressed by how much more efficient they had become. They are clearly quick learners! I’m excited to return and continue supporting this wonderful pub and restaurant."

Enjoyed an excellent Saturday Set Lunch menu today with friends. Lovely setting, attentive staff and good food. (BTW the hunting scene wallpaper is long gone replaced by more modern muted colours)

Overall, we had a wonderful experience—the food and service were outstanding. The only downside for us was the unique dessert menu, which didn’t cater to those who prefer more traditional desserts. Excellent restaurant! Food: 5, Service: 5, Atmosphere: 5

Amazing dining experience! I had the black pudding and poached egg starter, followed by the roast sirloin, and for dessert, I enjoyed the rhubarb, ginger, and hazelnut crumble. Overall, all three dishes were delicious. I've already recommended this place to my colleagues! View menu

We had a wonderful Sunday dinner! Everyone enjoyed the tender and flavorful roast. The vegetables were perfectly cooked as well. I usually hesitate to order roast when dining out, but this was the best I’ve had in a while. Although it isn't the cheapest option, you definitely get what you pay for in terms of quality. I really hope the new owners and their team can make it a success as planned.

I hadn’t visited The Pheasant in many years, but I was eager to check it out after hearing it had reopened under new management. Four of us went there last night, and we were all thoroughly impressed. The atmosphere was warm, relaxed, and cozy. The food was of high quality, and the service was both friendly and attentive. We will definitely be back. Thank you all for a wonderful evening! The price per person was £40–50.

"Just been here for lunch with my friend, who had purchased a Groupon for £39 supposedly representing a 50% discount. This was for '2 course meal with wine for 2 people '. What a joke!! We decided to skip the starter we were offered 2 choices of starter, which on the menu would have cost £4.80 , saying that we would prefer to have main course and a dessert. We were offered 4 choices of main course though the printed menu was extensive and very interesting . This was the Chefs special roast chicken, chicken casserole, hummus and falafel or vegetable curry. On the printed menu this would have cost £8.80. We were given a small glass of wine each. I must say, my vegetable curry was delicious! When we asked what options of dessert we could choose we were told that this was not an option, and that the deal only covered a starter plus a main course this was not stipulated anywhere on the Groupon description nor did the waiter choose to inform us of this when we were ordering, and discussing the idea of main and dessert with him. So for £39 we had eaten £8.80 worth of food each £19.60 plus 2 small glasses of house wine the menu doesn 't show a price for wine by the glass, but I really don 't think that would come to £10 per glass as a whole bottle of house wine is £15.49! We discussed dissatisfaction with both the waiter and the manager, but they were unable to she 'd any light on the matter, except to blame the problem on Groupon!! I REALLY CANNOT RECCOMMEND THIS RESTAURANT WE HAVE BEEN RIPPED OFF!!! AVOID!!"
