"My wife, a friend and I visited The Ram earlier today for lunch. We were made very welcome by the two young waitresses Emma and Tash. My wife and I chose the mint lamb shank with a choice of chips or boiled potatoes and seasonal vegetables and our friend the breaded scampi, chips and salad. Both my wife and I were highly impressed with the quality of the lamb shank not to mention the delicious chips and nicely cooked vegetables. I never give 100% since I don’t believe in absolute perfection but this meal scored 95% something which I have not experienced for a long, long time. Congratulations must go to the chef proprietor Melissa. Although our friend lives locally, we travelled from Gloucester which took about 30 minutes. I would not hesitate returning to this pub due to the staff and the high standard of food provided."

By far the best atmosphere , staff and food around. The menu is varied and caters for everyone. Big portions, tasty food. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Great selection of beers, lager, wines, gin etc. Gentle music playing, just wonderful

Booked in advance and would probably recommend as it was busy. Staff so welcoming and very hard working, ensuring all guests were looked after. Food was delicious and good sized portions and value for money. Would definitely revisit if in the area.

This pubs atmosphere, staff and food never fail to deliver. Always warm and friendly staff, variety of starters main courses and puddings, including special dietary requirements, and an ever-changing specials board. All at very reasonable prices and the portions are very good indeed. cannot recommended this pub highlights enough. Especially the Sunday roasts. View menu

Had lunch here. Our party had baguettes and jacket potatoes. From the lighter menu, but very substantial meals, none of us could quite finish. Baguettes came with chips and salad. The Brie and bacon one was delicious. Plenty of filling. The baguettes were soft and didn’t take away from the filling. The jacket potato was well filled. The staff were smiling and helpful. A great local pub with food.

I recently went to this restaurant for dinner with a friend, and my family and I also come here occasionally for a delicious Sunday roast. We absolutely love their roast dinners! The staff always take great care of me as I have a dairy intolerance, and I appreciate how accommodating they are. The pub itself is charming, the staff are friendly, and the food is fantastic. It's also pet-friendly, so it's a great spot if you have dogs. I highly recommend this place!
