Always great food and beer. Sunday roasts excellent too. Recently had these king prawns on the menu which were outstanding.

Cost: £40–50 per person. The food was rated 4 out of 5, the service was rated 5 out of 5, and the atmosphere was rated 4 out of 5.

This old pub has an amazing atmosphere! The food was delicious, beautifully presented, and the service was fast and friendly. I will definitely come back.

Becoming here for years apart from the last 16! Hasn't changed a bit and is still a great relaxing pub with some great beers and a nice garden. Thanks for letting me at my late night dirty burger there too

This was our first visit, and it has quickly become our favorite place for Sunday roasts. The meat was incredibly tender and the fresh vegetables were plentiful. The desserts were amazing. Our guests were also impressed by the food. We have already made a reservation for a return visit.

eating was absolutely delicious, all very fresh. the staff was also very nice and relaxed. I was spotted before the staff really rushed and seemed unhappy so that this was nice and the experience made better. I would definitely come back, but I don't live in front of location. If you're searching for a local spot with delicious food and excellent service, then this is the place for you. The restaurant is always clean and tidy, the staff is always willing to assist, and it's without a doubt my favorite dining establishment in the village. For those looking for drinks, there is a good selection of wines, spirits, liqueurs, and craft beers, as well as a lovely beer garden.

Just had an excellent Sunday lunch here with family. The roasts are very good but if that's not your thing the specials were perfect. I had salt and pepper squid with chilli sauce and for my main halibut which were both amazing. The wine was excellent; 2 very good roses and a very good choice of real ales. Very good value for money, parking and garden for the summer... What more could, you ask for!? We will definitely be back for more

Wonderful location. Wonderful food. Honestly great place. Staff incredibly friendly and helpful. Covid safe environment. This was a special lunch for our daughter who lives locally, a teacher who we traveled from Devon to see her family and treat her to some time away from her busy life. The menu and daily specials were so inviting I/we wanted to try everything. The crab arancini we shared, ox cheek and cod with sweetcorn chowder were incredible and our daughters fish and chips she loved. We wanted a desert but as it was lunchtime we shared an apple strudel amazing really. Obviously everything was fresh and it showed.
