"Visited on Saturday afternoon, not to busy, easy to get a table. Very welcoming with the fires on Served by a lovely polite young waitress. The menu was decent with a specials board and not too pricey, ie cheese and onion pie, chips and beans £9.95. I was gutted that the cheese and onion pie had all gone but another excuse to go back to the pub. I had lasagne which was fantastic. My partner had chicken and mushroom pie and my daughter had chicken curry. All brilliant. We also had duck spring rolls for starter the best ever!! The baguettes being served to other tables also looked great, especially the hot beef and gravy. Thanks for a lovely meal, we willbe back."

We enjoyed a fabulous Burn’s Supper for 20 people here. Terry was very understanding and keen to meet our requests. A beautiful room for dining and dance. The set menu with vegetarian options was highly appreciated. My texts are pinging with appreciative comments. And all so reasonably priced. Excellent value for money.

Saw the Pensioner special they offer, 2 courses for £9.95p, tried it today and what good value, excellent service and more than enough. I had the soup(minestrone) and Roast Turkey. I don't know how the Swan does it at this price. Good to see photo's of my nephew there, he was a FireFighter when there was a big fire some years ago, he was involved in that fire and got a bravery award for his efforts.

I wasn’t overly impressed with the pub. It wasn’t terrible but it wasn’t great either. The pros are that it is clean, spacious and the food was tasty. The cons are that it took the food an hour to get to the table, people who came in after us got their food before us, staff didn’t really apologise or give a reason and locals in the pub advised us of other places that serve faster. Don’t think I’ll visit again. View menu

We are in Clitheroe for a week and settled on the Swan and Royal because their menu seem reasonably priced from outside. I had the Sirloin steak for approximately £18 and my partner had the lamb shank which was similarly priced. It was absolutely perfect from start to finish. Beautiful cuts of meat, piping hot chips and home made Peppercorn sauce. I usually only leave reviews when I'm unhappy, but the meal here was outstanding! Friendly staff too. A+

We were greeted by a member of staff didn't catch his name but he was very pleasant. And the young lad who showed us to our room, was well inform and granted us with a warm welcome. We have stayed here many times and we have always returned. The staff and the pub itself is amazing and the food is to die for, proper home cooked food. And yes would recommend staying here and yes the breakfast is also really good. The rooms are really nice and the rooms are big and comfortable.

"I wasn't at blueberries with my friends since before covid so it was great to kick through the door and see how busy it is, fortunately I had a table for lunch. there is nothing special vegan on the menu, but they try to place their very hardest, in contrast to some places. I love a jacket kartoffel and choose her beats with various items from the menu, so ordered frying and avocado. katherine, one of the owners and cook came on our table and said she could suggest some other dishes and also vegan cheese if I did not the jacket kartoffel, but if I still did how about the topping of sonbs. what a nice geste and I will visit her on her offer of other options at the next. I noticed that they were able to offer vegan options for their Christmas card and also had two vegan, frozen meals to take away, moussaka and chili. my friends ordered a chicken and specksalat and a fish and chips and both said that eating was delicious with a mention that the chips were the best. my kartoffel was huge, with a lot of topping, served with beautiful salat and quickly grinded. the food is made fresh to order and blueberries is very popular as full it was on a cold Wednesday afternoon. there is also a small marquee on the side of the blueberries, which for those who are brave and sitting the weather and of course adds extra space. I really can't knock blueberries, they may not have vegan options (although a cake would be nice and I need to ask if they have plant milk as I always have my own. but they will always try to eat rusty something satisfying and with announcing can something like a vegan hotpot that I had before, what was brilliant."
