"We hadn 't been to the White Hart for a while, which we had used several times previously for their excellent Sunday Carvery, to find that a carvery was no longer available, only plated meals. Whilst the food was freshly prepared, my first choice was not available and the alternatives were fairly limited. The attraction of the Carvery is the ability to choose what you want rather than be given the standard allocation of the day. To mar the visit further, we were charged over £8 for two blackcurrant and soda waters. (We had paid £1.40 for the same two drinks in another pub in the same area two days previous). When we questioned this with the young waitress, the response was 'Well, that 's what 's in the till and I can 't do anything about it '. We don 't expect to be given drinks, but neither do we expect to be paying six times more than the pub down the road. Sorry, White Hart, we won 't be returning."

WOW! Sunday carvery is the best for miles! Beef stunning… lovely well cooked veg, beautiful mash, crispy but fluffy roasties… topped with a massive yorkie! All served in a relaxed environment with attentive (but not intruding) staff! 11/10 superb!

I was lucky enough to have lunch here yesterday and found it to be excellent. The food was good and well prepared with very good service. As a non drinker I can't speak for the drinks but my friends said the beer selection was good and well kept. I strongly recommend this place.

Went for Sunday lunch again, didn’t book and it was really busy the bar staff were very accommodating and managed to squeeze us in. The carvery was amazing as usual and the landlady always hands us a bowl to fill up with meat and veg for our dog snoopdog) Always a fantastic experience Thanks for looking after us Ian Michele Snoopdog

Came in for a carvery after visiting friends in the area, We was seated very quickly despite it being very busy all the staff was very friendly and helpful. They have a great selection of drinks which are all fairly priced the service was very fast we had our drinks virtually straight away. The cavery itself is how it should be properly home cooked food and perfectly cooked meat, the red cabbage is absolutely to die for. Unfortunately had no more room for deserts but the cheesecakes coming out the kitchen looked amazing. Will definitely be returning and recommending to friends. Great value for money

"Very good. this renovated and updated gastro pub has a beautiful, high-end feeling, without too posh. the personal is pleasant, real and well maintained. good drink selection! music selection didn't seem fit, but not extraordinarily. eating is exceptional, but, based on some personal preferences, there were slightly smaller disappointments with each dish. all were presented beautifully! the scallop starter was perfectly cooked, but there was an unexpected sticky texture on the sea red side. the chilis needed something sweet to balance them, but it was a nice warm pop. the acid from the grapefruit mixed with the petersilie mayonnaise drizzle, but both were delicious. some either flash-frozen or dry germinated greens gave beautiful texture, and the dish as a whole was beautiful. the duck ice starter was rich without being hard. slowly boiled (inspiring sous vide,) the egg was perfect. it was on a bed of slowly baked cheekwange, which is longing! some picking mushrooms have also added beautiful acid contrast. the brioche disc on which everything sat was not my favorite, but again can be personal preference. it seemed too thick, dense and sweet for the court. either would have been a nice sourded or an airy crawling cut my choice. again a very tasty dish. the healbutt main was absolutely wonderful! in butter lubricated, with fennel, white asparagus, a butter sauce with raw and squid-ink pasta. all with dill fronds. only small critique was the toughness of the tips of the braided fennel without knife, which is suitable for cutting through. a unique and very pleasant experience! it was great."
