"I would have rated this restaurant a 3.5 because I feel a 4 is a bit generous. We arrived shortly after they opened and requested to wait before ordering as the restaurant was not very busy, but we were told we had to order right away. Despite expecting to spend a few hours enjoying our Sunday roast, our tables were cleared and we were presented with the bill within 40 minutes. It felt rushed and lacked the relaxing atmosphere we had hoped for. However, the view outside was still great and the roast itself was delicious."

Excellent food, excellent service. A little bit more expensive than your average pub, but worth it. Not an average pub though).

"Stunning views and delicious food, although the menu is limited. The desserts featuring marzipan are a must-try. Service was rated 4 out of 5, while the location scored a perfect 5."

We've been to The White Post twice now and both times did not disappoint. This time we had the roast and the portion size was incredibly generous and all of the food was delicious. We will be going back again.

This restaurant is a hidden gem. We don't visit often, but when we do, it always exceeds our expectations. It's a wonderful family-owned establishment with exceptional food and incredible service. If you're looking to indulge, this is the perfect spot.

This restaurant offers excellent food and incredible service. I dined in for dinner and found the price per person to be £80-90. The restaurant has 5 rooms and I rated the food, service, location, and atmosphere all 5 out of 5. I recommend trying their Sunday Lunch dish.

Wow, the Roast The Post was absolutely amazing. Both my husband and our friend agreed that it was the best roast they've ever had. My seabass, mussels, and samphire were delicious, and the seafood platter was equally incredible. The servers were lovely and the owner was fantastic. We even drove all the way from Surrey for our second visit because it's just that good. The restaurant is situated on a hill with stunning panoramic views of Glastonbury. I would give it a 12 out of 10 rating.

"Our first visit to The George Inn at Donyatt, we've drove by it time's going to other places and it always looks such a nice place. We decided to have lunchtime meal there to celebrate our anniversary and weren't disappointed, beamed ceilings, log burner and brick fireplace, farm tools and pictures on the walls cosy and oldie worldy with friendly locals just how we like our pubs. The staff and owner were really friendly, polite and chatted to us as if we locals from the village, the waitresses were smartly dressed, polite attentive always smiling, cheerful, charming and chatty. Even the chef nodded and smiled to us the couple of times he walked through and the bar and table areas were spotlessly clean. Our meals starters and mains were absolutely fantastic and amazing as was the presentation, they were hot good amounts of food with tender succulent meats and vegetables and the mashed potatoes were creamy smooth and light and have never had better. There's a good selection of beers and I had local ale which was amazing, clear, cool with a nice head and tasted like nectar. We will definitely be coming back soon and we can definitely recommend this pub, restaurant and hotel to family, friends, neighbours and anyone. A very big well done and thank you to the owners, all the staff especially the chef, please please please keep this pub the way it is, it's an absolute treasure and gem of a place to find. YOU ALL MADE OUR ANNIVERSARY VERY SPECIAL Especially in these times when a majority of local village pubs are closing down and being turned into houses or flats, we must all support our local village pubs like The George Inn."
