"Be warned. Having checked the opening times for the pub last Saturday lunchtime, we set off on journey to arrive at 2.15pm, 45 minutes before it was advertised as closing. We arrived at the door to find the staff locking up saying they were closed! It makes you wonder, when you hear pubs closing, is it because they fail to provide a basic level of customer service like The Three Kings did on Saturday? Being closed when advertised as open is not a positive customer experience and is a slippery slope deterring customers returning. Some advice for owners of The Three Kings, employ staff that care and if you are going to shut shop early then at least warn your customers that might happen and advise them to check by ringing in advance before setting off on a wasted journey!"

We had an excellent meal at a beautiful pub. The staff gave us a warm welcome, and even though it was only our second visit, they made us feel like old friends. The steaks were outstanding and paired perfectly with a pint of Timothy Taylor's Renter. Unfortunately, we were too full for dessert, so next time we'll skip the starter. Looking forward to our next visit!

I visited for the first time since the restaurant changed ownership. One of us ordered the mixed grill, while two of us had the lamb shank with minted gravy. The food was of excellent quality and reasonably priced, and the atmosphere was fantastic. The staff were warm and friendly. I will definitely return at the next opportunity. Price per person: £20–30 Food rating: 5/5.

The Three Kings has been beautifully decorated and has a pleasant atmosphere. The staff were very friendly and accommodating, and I couldn't find any fault with the service. For my starter, I had the prawn cocktail, which was excellent. However, my main course of gammon, while acceptable, was served without any pineapple. Perhaps that was because I requested no egg, and it was assumed I didn't want pineapple either? There were plenty of fries on the plate, though. Overall, it was a nice meal.

"We choose this spot because of the many positive reviews. I guess we turned up on a bad day!I have only been introduced to coffee a few years ago despite being in my mid 50’s and really don’t like coffee unless a well made flat white. I travel the world frequently for work and always ask the same question, can you make a flat white? The reason being unless the person is a passionate barista I rarely get a coffee I enjoy. This question clearly upset the lady serving us who ‘rolled her eyes out loud’ by the question and then represented the request to her colleague in a manner that was more like ‘we have a pain in the arse’ than ‘can we make this gentleman a nice coffee. (Yes we overheard).Everything was fine except the flat white was a milky coffee and not something I enjoyed. Not a problem though. I never said a word but when asked at the counter how things were I thought I would say everything was good except the ‘flat white’. Immediately confronted by both in very hostile way was very surprising as I was only answering a question I thought they were interested in hearing I placed a review on their website and their response is a really good example of their attitude. Instead of focusing on service recovery they wanted to blame me and absolve themselves of any responsibility.I of course mentioned this to a few people in Sleaford and surprise surprise was met with very similar responses, ‘we don’t go there anymore as the staff can be very rude’ Looking forward to seeing how the proprietors decide to respond to this one."
