a great place to the breakfast and really friendly service, definitiw a visit worth when they are a complete English.

£5 for 2 bits of thin bacon on white bread with no butter. What a nerve. Don't know how you manage to keep going. For tourists only.

This was a return trip for us an a stormy day. The welcome was as warm as we remembered and the food and service excellent. All home cooked with fresh ingredients. Cannot wait to make the 30mile trip to return soon

What amazing cakes! When we entered and saw the outdated decor, we thought that a quick coffee would be all we go for. Having visited the bathroom and seen the cake stand it was decided to go for them. The blueberry cheesecake and the jam and cream scones are amazing. If you go for a tea at F&M you are a fool. Go to the tutti pole tea room instead! Oh, they make their own jam too!

we went to lunch and the choice was very good and worth money. I had breakfast all day and my friend had cheese on toast with posing eggs. hot waterpot to complete the teekanne, tasteful tee made a change, not pale and interesting as at most places. my only comment is that the sausages could be locally pork one, not a non-identifiable substance that reduced the partitur to four stars. A fantastic local cafe offering a variety of freshly prepared dishes throughout the day with friendly staff excellent service too. My breakfast sandwich was cooked to perfection extremely tasty plus delicious with a great cuppa served by very good team. Many thanks Stephen, Fiona, Martin, Rose, Stevie along with the rest of the team. See you again very very soon, keep doing the magic.

A really disappointing lunch here today. Coffee was weak, and the food was sparse. A toasted sandwich with the thinnest layer of tuna made in a home toastie maker, an un buttered bacon baguette, and some tasteless soup. Small portions and the salad was one slice of tomatoe, one bit of cucumber four small leaves and cress. We used to come here a lot many years ago but won’t be back again.

Perfect café for a light meal, or a full scoff. Mrs had toastie chips and I had beef stew and dumplings off the Specials Board. Both meals excellent. Was welcomed in and seated by Rose, who was pleasant, engaging and informative without being intrusive. Mrs had diet coke and I had a pot of tea (2 tea bags, so NOT weak). Top up jug of water comes as standard and was impressed to get 6 cups out of 1 pot. Took a take away ice cream cone for pudding good choice of flavours (although my particular favourite Rum Raisin was absent). £35 was excellent value. Great café. View menu
