"Went for Sunday lunch, booked for 4.15pm. Went for the 3 course option. Starters looked as if they had been out for a while, quite a few options still available. Choice of 2 mains, either turkey with stuffing and pigs in blankets and cranberry, or beef with horseradish, both with roast potatoes, Yorkshire’s, carrots, cabbage and sprouts. Both looked as if they had been thrown on the plate, weren’t hot, beef was dry, veg was soggy, and the turkey came without stuffing or pigs in blankets! Did arrive when asked but were dry, burnt and crozzled. Went for desert, all that was left was pan au chocolate and 1 berry compote, when we asked why there were no other options we were told it was the end of service. I said why advertise the times for three courses when there was nothing left? They did manage to conjure up 4 lemon muffins! My daughter had booked this for a special occasion, and it was totally spoiled. She did complain and had a reduced bill, but that was not the point. My daughter is a regular customer there with friends and usually eats earlier and has enjoyed the meal, so I think the advice would be go earlier! I won’t go again as I thought it was quite noisy, but there was a rugby match on at the time."

Nice meal but expensive. Only shown Sunday menu and not full menu. Had to ask bar staff if they only served Sunday lunch on this day.

Food was cold, service at bar is terrible. (Some) Staff seem to avoid serving people choosing to walk around the bar rather than serving, also witnessed one staff member swear at another, didn’t offend me but imagine it could to some people

We waited 45 mins for our main, the food was poor. The Sunday lunch has all changed and it’s rubbish. The bar is freezing and I won’t be coming back. We got married at the hotel 4 years ago and it was much better. I don’t like the food it’s gone down rate is 0

Booked the Sunday lunch offer based on our experience a couple of years back. However both the format and menu have changed. Food was good but the system and service a little haphazard. No one had a clue on what to do. Starters were self service but you had to leave a credit card at the bar and order your main course there!! Strange set up but good very tasty which I guess is what matters.

We used to come often on a Sunday for the buffet . We were disappointed it was no longer on offer . Plus the kids eat free option has now stopped . The restaurant was very quiet and was always busy on a Sunday on most of our visits . Although the food was ok we didn't feel it was worth £70 for a family of 4 . We felt the previous kids eat free option was good value and now this has stopped we will not be returning.

We had booked for a Sunday carvery but was telephoned to say they no longer offered this and it was now a set Sunday lunch, 1,2 or 3 courses. The food offered was very tasty although not very hot. Not good value for money either we felt The environment was a real negative. The bar/restaurant felt dirty and needed tables clearing. It was really cold and the noise level wasn’t relaxing. Tasty food but we will not be returning as it was expensive and chaotic.

"My son expressed his desire for a restaurant that wasn't too fancy or too casual. It's always a challenge to gather grown-up sons for celebrations when they are spread out, especially when you're unfamiliar with the restaurants in Leeds. After scrolling for hours and exchanging options, we finally settled on Gallery 41, which happened to have a 20% off deal on all food for certain days in November - perfect for N's birthday. After a long journey and a chilly afternoon at Kirkstall Abbey, we were ready to eat, and boy, did we eat well. The olives were a hit with my sons and husband, while the garlic bread was described as some of the best they'd ever had. The Skin Fries were a crowd favorite, so much so that we almost fought over the last ones. The main dishes were equally impressive, with the meat eaters raving about the Spiced Pepperoni and the Vegetarian option wowing my husband. I couldn't resist the Florentina pizza, a personal favorite of mine. Dessert was a hit as well, with everyone indulging in their sweet tooth. The atmosphere at Gallery 41 was perfect for our family gathering - quiet, cozy, and conducive to good conversation. The staff were attentive and friendly, adding to the overall positive experience. I look forward to returning with the rest of my family and indulging in more of Gallery 41's delicious offerings. In the end, it's the simple things like family, good food, and quality time together that truly matter. Thank you, Gallery 41, for a wonderful dining experience."
