"We visited in December and were made aware that there were set menus only at this time and a choice of 4 - 6 courses would be offered - we were advised by the owner to browse the internet a week before we come to make sure this would be acceptable to us - a nice gestureWhen we arrived we were brought to a nicely laid table with quality crockery - the decoration is purpuseful more than stylish, despite this beeing a charakter building in the Gruenderzeit part of NuerbergThe Food 4 of us choose 4 courses, two 6 all with the reasonable priced wine pairing - there was an englsih menu for the non German speakers provided a further nice touchThe prestarter was a nice indian european fusion dish with a tandoori twist, followed by a Schwarzwurzel Soup with the interesting addition that the soup and named roots where served seperately interestingThe second starter - suckling pig in my case on brussel sprouts and with sesam was one of my favourites and also the second one duck liver terrine was very good- I had an oppurtunity to try the risotto with beetroot, too and this was the second best starterMy main was veal cheeks, which was nice but not near as good as the Fish (Waller - a german predatoty sweetwater fish) and the goose sampled by other members of the partyDesserts sampled by me were the Wuerzhaus Chocolate and the cheese selection which were both excellentThe wines were well preseneted and matched and gernerously served - top ups were available when wished (and not charged)The service was very efficient and competent, if a bit sterileEnjoying a meal like this with six people and walking out with less than 500 euros to pay shows outsatnding value and makes this a great recommendation - to gain a star a bit moe cosnsistency and the line up and a bit more warmer service would be all that is needed - well worth a visit"

Good quality well presented food. Busy for good reason. Dinner for three with a great bottle of wine from a well known producer for one hundred fifty euros, how do they do it ? Better to book at weekends but worth the short detour from Altstadt

Had a group dinner here last week and I am satisfied with all that happened while being there and the support Diane offered me in choosing the menu before our dinner. The place is perfect for a business dinner. Food is exquisite. All in all, it was a pleasant experience and I would go there again.

This is a very very good restaurant! You car order either a la carte or the sequence of suggested dishes. Also, you can ask the complete option that includes different pre-selected wines acording to the food.Don't be afraid of choosing the 4 or 5 dishes option, cause they are small so there's no problem in eating all of them!

We tried the lunchtime menu. There was a thin broth with pancake pieces (Pfannkuchensuppe), followed by roast duck leg with red cabbage, sprouts and potato dumpling. The meat was excellent, crispy and juicy, and the veg was great. We particularly enjoyed the brussel sprouts - a veg that I normally avoid. Many thanks, we will be back.

My partner and I booked in for dinner on a Friday night after reading fantastic reviews about the place; it did not disappoint! We chose to do the 4 course menu which consisted of your choice of two entrees, one main and a dessert (per person). Each and every dish was beautifully presented and full of flavour, matched perfectly with various wines. The staff were all lovely and knowledgeable, we left feeling extremely satisfied with our evening. Highly recommend if you're after a quality dining experience.

We were a big group and I always approach the "set menu" with a degree of trepidation. We were also guests so who was I to comment as we entered this very unassuming restaurant. The decor is low key and the single room quite spacious. What then started has to be not only the best set menu I have ever eaten but also one of the best meals I have ever had anywhere in the world. Previously you would define this as noveau cuisine - small portions leaving you yearning for a Big Mac on the way home. Not here! The portions are so perfectly and beautifully formed you get a visual as well as a flavourful feast. In our case the plates were paired with some great European wines. As I write this the next...

This is perhaps one of the best restaurants in Nuremberg. I have been here twice and I have to say I am satisfied. If you are one who is into fine dining, this place is for you. The food is excellent and the service is great. If you decide to eat here, I recommend that you have the four or five or eight course menu, rather than a la carte as the former would be less expensive. The four course menu without wine is 44 euros; 65 with wine. There is also an amuse bouche at the start of the meal and complimentary free-flowing bread and spread. Not bad. Also, expect that you would be dining at least 2 and a half hours. The first time I dined here, I was extremely happy. Everything was just perfect.H...
