"I visited with a big group, containing some vegans and veggies no one struggled to find something tasty they loved! It was really great to find they actually have a big, separate 100% vegan menu rather than having to waste time trying to work out what vegans/veggies can eat on the main menu. There are lots of different things to choose from, and even some of the meat eaters opted for dishes on the vegan menu because they sounded so yummy! The jackfruit burger was a big hit. I also really recommend the vegan Patatas Bravas. They also have a version of these on the main menu, so make sure you state ‘vegan’ so you get the vegan mayo and not standard! Being a chain place, it’s obviously not gourmet food, however it’s a pretty generous offering for vegans and veggies, and is definitely one of the chain places I will go to first for vegan options when I’m in town!! The vegan options are great here, there is variety there are healthier options and there are treats. I like that they can accommodate to more specific vegan requirements such as a choice of alternative to meat substitutes. All you have to do here is ask

So many different choices here for breakfast, dinner and dessert. We had the vegan breakfast and BLT with extra hashbrowns, everything was cooked perfectly and flavoursome. Service was very quick and friendly (you can order and pay from your table via a QR code or go up to the bar to order and pay).

As far as chains go, lounges are probably one of the best for catering companies. Really great menus for all times of the day, and very clear on what is and is not vegan. Personal recommendations are the burger or breakfast! The decor and mood of these lounges are also almost always excellent. Endpoint is it a top place to go with a non vegan/vegetarian person or group as they offer loads on both sides of the fence. Everyone comes with a good meal.

When it comes to chain restaurants, Lounges are among the top choices for vegans. They have extensive menus for any time of day, clearly indicating what is vegan-friendly. I recommend trying the burger or breakfast options. The decor and atmosphere at Lounges are consistently fantastic. It's also a great place to dine with non-vegan or vegetarian friends, as there are plenty of options for everyone. Overall, a visit to Lounges ensures that everyone leaves satisfied with a delicious meal.

"I wondered why this restaurant described itself on the board outside as ‘fusion’, why there were so many Korean dishes on the menu and why the serving staff have heard of Asahi beer but haven’t heard of The Asahi Shimbun, a Japanese daily newspaper that is at least 50 years old. The answer is that the Akasaka website isn’t being completely honest when it describes their Northampton branch as a Japanese restaurant. They aren’t really Japanese, although some of their menu items are clearly Japanese. Don’t let that put you off, however, as they are serving excellent food and we enjoyed our meal there very much. It cost us about £70 (inc. 10% tip) for our meal for two people including a 175ml glass of Sauvignon Blanc for my lovely wife and two 330ml bottles of Asahi Dry for me. The sushi was excellent, the edamame beans were great but we didn’t feel that the Dolsot Bibimbap (a Korean dish with loads of rice, some shredded vegetables, prawns and a fried egg on top) offered very good value for money at just under sixteen pounds. We would recommend Akasaka in Northampton and would certainly go there again, but if we want a genuinely Japanese meal, prepared and served by Japanese staff, then we will be sticking to Ginza Restaurant on Wellingborough Road in Northampton. Don’t like the way that the male members of staff at Sakura on Bridge Street speak to their female colleagues, very disrespectful, so we avoid that Japanese restaurant nowadays. Great to have a choice of three Japanese restaurants in Northampton post-pandemic, and our favourite of the three is Ginza."
