"We thoroughly enjoyed our evening at the Ventana. Welcoming staff, lovely ambience, and nothing was too much trouble. We had scallops and a delicious salmon dish to begin, followed by a cod fillet for me , served with a potato rosti (that was a little too big! , and fillet steak, cooked just how he likes it, medium rare, for hubby. Good wine, too, and attentive service, so much so that we've re-booked to return in a few days. It's a short walk from our timeshare overlooking the sea. This was quality food and a memorable meal."

"I have previously visited this restaurant for weekend brunch, but had not gone since last year. I ordered the French toast and the omelette. Unfortunately, both dishes were not as good as they were in the past, but they were acceptable. I also mentioned that I was celebrating a milestone when I made the reservation, however, it was not acknowledged until the end of the meal when the waiter congratulated me while giving me the bill. Despite this, I appreciated the gesture, but it felt a bit late. The atmosphere was pleasant and the staff were friendly and welcoming overall."

"My best friend drove down from Surrey yesterday with a request that we dine at the Digby. From entering, we were noticed. Staff smiled and said Hi, then the manager Immediately took charge with banter and smiles. We were seated at a lively window seat. From then on it ran like clockwork. Drinks order. Drinks served. Food order taken. Food served. Sauces asked and given. Food was so good. I could not stop eating. Hot, fresh and full of flavour. It was huge, and then the veg came. Wow. With just enough room to share a banana waffle I cannot tell you enough, it was perfect!"

"I have been to Samsara a number of times and always been happy with my food and service. I visited this week which was the first time in a year and could see the changes in decor, very nice. The service was good as you would be expect with only a few customers. The food was average, my starter very disappointing. The bill came and we were overcharged by £30, when brought to the staffs attention it was corrected but with no real apology. Sadly to say we won't be returning or recommending this restaurant anymore. Not sure if management has changed, if it has its not for the better."

"The BEST breakfast I have ever had. The bacon slices were like gamnon steaks. Thick and tasty. A large brekkie is around £9 under the average price compared to Barmouth. Great find and with a great history being based in a building that dates 1606."

"I was interested to try out Jackson Rye as I love American food. However I left feeling slightly empty. My market soup with pumpkin amd truffle was served innovatively in a little jug and separate bowl. However it was overly rich with truffle and overly seasoned too. A solid portion size however the main course chef 's salad with chicken was not good value- a pathetic piece of fried chicken (not as described on the menu) with some burnt 'crispy kale ' and soggy gem lettuce was not great for 12 pounds. Having said this about the food, the decor, music and service was top notch."

"The food was incredible tasty, the wine we ordered was great, nice design of the restaurant. The service it was stoning! The best place to celebrate my anniversary with my girlfriend. If I could recommend something to improve, would be the toilets."

"We booked a table for a meal and we were disappointed. First of all the car park has a few spare spaces, but they are for people staying, so there’s no parking nearby, you have to spend half an hour looking around Blakeney for a space, which is hard work, or spend £6 on parking in the nearby car park. Secondly, The choice of food is very limited with not many of the pub Staples you normally expect to get. Only two mains for meat lovers, one for fish lovers and a vegan option. The small plate meals are also scarce and don’t come with rice or chips. You have to have a side of chips if that’s what you want. Our hand cut chips were over cooked in old oil and were soggy and over salted. The burger was undercooked and tiny. Poor value for £18. Only top of the expensive prices, they bill you for the optional service charge by default, so unless you want to create a scene, you end up paying it if you’re remotely shy or low in confidence. Inside it’s clean and spacious, quite a few dogs, and you don’t get a choice of where to sit. It’s just not a special place to visit, and for the prices, it should be. Oh the Adnams on draft is exceptional, but that’s it. Avoid. Service: 4"

"It was moderate at best , we had the waiter spill the tea on the cakes and excused himself to bring new ones which were never bought back. The attention to detail is cared for rather than the quality of food itself, it felt stale some sandwiches. The highlight was only the view. The rest can be described as mediocre at best. Too much show but quality wise a dissapointment."

"I visted prezzo oswestry the other night with my family, Service was great. It seemed very busy but I’m not suprised as it was a saturday night. I got greeted by what seemed to be the manager, he is very charming and probably one of the most attractive men ive seen in oswestry in a while! Tall dark and handsome. The girls i came across were lovely and made us feel very welcome I unfortunately did not get their names… the food arrived in a reasonable amount of time as it was busy but we were not fussed. We were handed the bill and we gave it a good read, it does state clearly in black and white that there is an optional service charge, as i was reading past reviews of people not knowing about this I’m a tad confused as to why when it literally states it at the bottom of the bill. Will definitely be back!"

"We went here for my friend's baby shower. The food was tasty and well presented. The food were set on a bench which was really cute and I could say very Instagramable. The entire set serves 2 which costs £22/head, is a good value for money as it includes a drink as well. I wasn't able to finished the cakes so they brought out some boxes for us which is really nice of them as with some restaurants, you'll be embarrassed to ask for the left overs to be taken home. So, kudos to the staff for this additional service as the cakes are so delicious we don't want to go on a waste. And last but not the least, staff are really friendly and accommodating. Thank you for a nice chatter!"

"Two of us popped in for lunch. Chicken carbonara which was really nice. I chose the chicken Caesar salad. It was as the menu stated, baby gem lettuce, chicken and dressing. Baby gem lettuce is already pretty limp and I’ve never heard of that being used in this dish. Dressing bit sharp. It was just disappointing and could be so much better. Needs crotons, anchovies, egg, romaine lettuce, creamy dressing. Or even just a couple of these items would improve it he dish. My feedback is for Prezzo as a chain. I blame myself for not looking at the dish contents beforehand! The following day we ate at Pizza Express and theirs was so much nicer and more as it should be. My rating is based on the overall experience and not on one dish that was just lacklustre."

"After waiting 20 minutes to be seated at our table in the restaurant my husband went to the bar to ask if we could be shown to our table. Ten minutes later the restaurant manager seated us and explained that they had some big parties in and one of their chefs had called in sick so service was 'dragging a bit '. We chose our food from the menu and waited for a waitress to come and take our order, which didn 't happen for another half an hour. Just as we were considering leaving, the waitress came and took our order finally, an hour after our booking time. Our first course arrived around 20 mins later (nearly half past nine) and the soup was very nice. When we asked if it came with bread, we were told no as it had croutons in it. I asked if we could have some bread anyway and the waitress reluctantly got us some. However, eating a first course at 9.30pm just seemed too late so by the time our main course came out at 9.50pm we just wanted to quickly eat it and get home as it was late and we had babysitters to get back for. We therefore asked for the bill as soon as the main course was finished and left. I understand some nights are busy and it cannot be helped if the chef is unwell but what I do object to is the attitude of staff, who really didn 't seem too bothered about serving us or making the experience a positive one. If somebody had told us on arrival that there would probably be an hour 's wait to order our food, we would have understood and we would have had the choice to wait or go elsewhere but being told that service was slightly 'dragging ' was nowhere near the truth. It was very delayed indeed. A simple gesture such as a complimentary drink and some snacks to keep customers happy while they were kept waiting would have been all that was needed. Nothing was taken off of our bill as a good will gesture for all the time wasted and there was no apology when we paid. All in all it left a bad taste in our mouths and we will not be returning."

"We were lucky enough to experience the taster menu twice last year, a wonderful experience which has stayed in our memory. This year we visited Wheelers with a couple of friends for lunch, unfortunately due to timings we were unable to book for the taster menu in the evening. The restaurant was very busy, but we had booked well in advance for our table of 4. Service initially was a little rushed, but still friendly and nothing was too much trouble. The food, once again, was sensational, everything from crab cakes which apparently have been on the menu for 25 years), cod, served with gazpacho, lobster lasagne, sea trout, perfectly cooked scallops, Oriental prawn and scallop dumplings, beautiful fresh Whitstable native oysters and the list goes on... As if this wasn't enough, a myriad of delights on the deli counter on the way out. We could never tire of this place, or the innovative new dishes or even the old faithfuls). Just wish we were closer to Whitstable! One not to miss."
"Went last night for a meal with a couple of friends. I’ve been many times before because this is my local and it is consistently good. We were given the heads up when we sat down that the kitchen was busier than normal so there would be a bit of a wait, a while later a waitress told us they were sorry about the wait (we hadn’t really noticed) and that our order would be out next. As an apology they gave us a free drink which was lovely. Our food was all great and they even gave us some sourdough to take home because they had loads left over. Couldn’t fault their customer service and the quality of food."

"The restaurant has a lovely ambience. Although the dress code is strictly smart casual, I am not sure how enforced it is as I saw a man in shorts and slippers dining two tables away. The fine dining Indian food cooked here is prepped well and tastes fine. If you are looking for a good food with a refined dining experience, it will not disappoint. As far as looking for Indian cuisine pushed to its highest levels of sublime taste and tantalising the senses, it never reaches those heights so that is why it is just okay for me. Let's just say it is fine dining at its average."

"we all had the scallops for beginners in a creamy sauce, that was very rich and satisfying. for the net had my partner lamming, the only problem was that it was swimming in a lot of sauce and served in a bowl/plate. I had the lasagne., it was really good, a generous portion, the others had a bolognaise and a seafood spaghetti dish, all generous portions. all are finished with pudding and a hot drink. the personal was great and attentive, without being intrusive, the only part is parking or the lack of it, but cannot blame this facility for it."

"Located on a quiet side street in the historic town of Sandwich, this charming old pub is a delightful spot to enjoy a meal or drinks with friends. The front bar area has a low ceiling supported by exposed wood timbers, giving it a cozy atmosphere. The walls are made of exposed flint concrete, adding to the rustic feel. The rear dining area is newer and offers views of the small outdoor patio. The menu features a small selection of game dishes, with the duck from the lunch menu receiving high praise. The food is well-prepared and presented, making it a great choice for a casual meal with friends or a business lunch. While Sandwich may not be a well-known destination, taking the time to visit this pub is definitely worth it if you find yourself in the area."

"my wife and I spend about 3 months in northumberland, visit a series of beauty spots, historical sites and equally important to look for great restaurants. our internet research and talks with locals led us to the old boat house in...Amble to lunch. the location of the restaurant (right on the coast) and near a series of interesting huts that houses a lot of objects was immediately attractive. this was given by entering into the restaurant and a very warm welcome by the staff and a table directly on the harbour. all very positiw, but this was just the prelude for some amazing food. we chose the common seafood plate – a huge wooden tablet with a whole lobster, perfectly cooked sea crumbs, lindisfarne oysters, roll mop herings, smoked makrele, hot cold smoked salmon, shetland mussels and delicious broken fish goujons roy pawns with delicious freshly baked freshly baked we would have stopped (should) after this amazing display of delicious food, but we ended the order of desserts – they were also delicious and glad that we did not leave. we can recommend a visit to the old boat house for a culinary extravaganza!"

"We visited Bellamy's Bistro 2 weeks ago. If having a meal after 6pm there is parking on the main Street for free. We managed to get an earlier ferry across to the island and after contacting Bellamy's, staff very kindly brought the time of our table forward. Me and one friend had the carbonara and cheesy garlic bread, which was lovely and tasty and my other friend had Bourgenon which she also really enjoyed. The owners were very friendly and were talking to us about how they came to the Isle of Wight. I would definitely recommend."
