"An amazing, cozy, welcoming dinner at the auberge. The atmosphere is one of quaint familiarity and comfort, without façon. We took the obligatory Malakoffs as a starter (excellent, not too oily, very generously sized), and they came accompanied by the green salad and here’s...the thing: this simple green salad, with shredded lettuce and parsley, is the best thing I’ve eaten in a long time. A kingdom for that dressing recipe! But they wouldn’t reveal if fair enough and I am left longing for more! The mains were also excellent, the steaks butter soft and delicious, and the shrimp salad a lovely, light compensation for the Malakoffs. We had the oriental red orange vanilla ice cream for dessert, and loved every second of our stay. If you go to Auberge de Luins, and I would strongly urge you to do so, take the green salad, it’s haunting me."

Lovely surroundings, and a friendly welcome from an entertaining host. Tried the delicious Malakoffs (deep-fried breaded melted cheese), and a steak that was cooked perfectly and beautifully tender. A recommended spot for a great meal away from the city.

The Malakoff specials are great and very filling. However shocked to find a packed restaurant, tables not spaced enough, staff with no masks and no attempt to complete the mandatory Covid Pass check. Hope our vaccines are working! Parking is also an issue in small...village street.

Another lesser known Swiss cheese speciality served in a nice auberge with salad. Order each portion individually be careful and you will starting to feel full. With nice local white wine. Great atmosphere friendly waiters used to expats Plenty of other food items available...for the non cheese lovers Tip. Try the cheese balls with mustard

A restaurant famous and specialized in malakoff, a melted cheese fondue bread balls. Customers could order and would be charged the malakoff piece by piece or simply pay a lump sum for all you can eat. They were well prepared and tasty. Highly recommended for...cheese lovers. There were other food items in the menu but the malakoff is so delectable that I ended up no spare place in the stomach for other dishes even a dessert.

We visited with friends on Sunday for lunch. The choice is limited, but very good the food varies by season, and the charcuterie and salads are brilliant. The portions are large, generous ones and the service excellent. None of us drank at lunchtime, but the...wine list looks typical of the region, with a good selection of local offerings. The atmosphere is family friendly and jolly My only issue is that parking is a nightmare.

Every Monday Thursday were Malakoff a gogo, CHF per person eat as much as you like, comes with non stop salad. Food was excellent, must try the regional dry meat too. Dessert we had a very finely house made lemon tart. However, don't...know if because the outside terrace is opened, not enough staff on a Thu night, missing drinks, wine even the sour cucumber onion for malakoff. If we don't ask again again, will never come... it's a bit annoying. Guess this problem will not happen next time!

The food is excellent, and great value. Malakoffs great, the salad is served commual style for sharing and a lovely light dressing home made. You can even have Malakoffs a Go-Go The platter of meats, for starter take the lard de luins is melting in...your mouth and divine, also nutty falvour The bargains are Menu du Jour I have tried the fish of the day the fera and the entrecote with morells, perfectly en point well cooked and succulent. Sunday is the best day to go as they serve all day long, best to go after to spend a relaxed and quiet afternoon devouring and savouring the atmosphere, food and your company.

Made reservation via TripAdvisor. Upon arrival they had no reservation and table wasn’t ready. They sent me from the restaurant to the cafe and back again. Was not welcomed in a friendly manner. They finally made a table minutes later. We had to sit...ourselves as we were not told that it was ready. No menu so we got it ourselves. Finally mins after reservation our order was taken. That was tough with little starving kids! Overall we didn’t feel very welcome. Restaurant indeed was busy but friendly service is still possible. Surprised for lack of service since they proudly display TripAdvisor ratings and management responds to comments. Malakoff were indeed amazing!

We were recommended this restaurant by our good friend and decided to visit together for Sunday lunch. It is a quaint, warm and Friendly restaurant. There was a good choice of food for our children and us adults. All our Kids opted for ham and...chips which they thoroughly enjoyed, us adults decided to go with for the Malakoff's which is what this area of Switzerland is famed for. In short, a Malakoff is a fried ball of cheese and was served with a dressed on the side. They are typically served one at a time, you are then asked if you would another which are then served to all tables at the sound of a bell. If anything, it is a great experience and does not break the bank. Wine was good and...
