We had a wonderful experience at this beautiful restaurant. The atmosphere was lovely, and the service was great. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. We actually ended up recommending this place twice during our three-day stay, enjoying both breakfast and lunch here on each occasion.

Absolutely fantastic. Lovely staff and place, and the food is exceptional. Fresh local ingredients, fabulous flavours and generous portions. Best scones we ever had. Ham leek pie was fantastic, pastry . M Cheese glorious and filling. Covid managed well with track and trace and sanitizer stations. The restaurant offers fantastic local products and delicious food, making it a lovely spot to spend a few hours, especially for families traveling together. However, the availability of cafes can be a bit inconsistent. Currently, you need to join a queue, make a reservation, or take the chance of not being able to visit. It would definitely deserve a 5-star rating if online booking were an option, as well as reservations outside of regular hours for those who can’t call during the day.

This cafe has a pleasant appearance and friendly service, although it can be a bit slow. My main concern is the inflated prices that seem unwarranted. For example, they charge £4.40 for a 250ml bottle of Folkington's juice, and if you want decaf coffee, there's an extra 15p fee. On the kids' menu, a single boiled egg and a piece of toast, which was roughly the size of a medium Hovis slice, costs £6. The markup here is outrageous. There are many other options nearby that offer much better value.

Lovely place to eat, always do great food selection, and of reasonable price. Would give 5 stars but on this occasion they reheated the fritata too much or did not keep it covered enough that the whole end piece was hard,dry and tough. Luckily said it was tasty but just left the outer bit (roughly a quarter of the fritata). If someone had come to check on us once we got our food would have pointed it out but nobody did and didn't want to make a fuss as the rest was good.
