"After a wet day of jumping off the hop on hop off bus we'd just spent an hour drying off and drooling over produce at a little market around the corner. We wanted a drink and perched outside La Chaufferie. Service was speedy from what we decided was the busiest waiter in Paris, we never got his name but he was mentioned on our final bill as Garcon 3. A Kir Royale for Mr D and a Ricard for me. People watching is absolutely the best from outside this establishment. The busy street is full of characters, crazies and beautiful people, everyone on a mission, it entertains us for a couple of hours. We order some tapas of deep fried cheese on the strength of the the delight from a table next to us. They are superb. Still hungry we order a charcuterie and cheese. As we wait we try unsuccessfully to purchase tickets to Tony Bennett, we find it too hard as its about to start and we figure too far away. How often would one get to see such a legend? Plan B is a sunset cruise to the Eiffel and my dreamy Mr Bennett bubble bursts with the arrival of the biggest wooden board groaning with meats, terrines, cheeses, cornichons and rustic bread. We need others to help its so large. We do our best and wash it down a couple of huge Baron beers. At 88NZ it was on a par with what you'd pay at home, but the content and quality was so superior. Thank you La Chaufferie and Garcon 3 we had a memorable evening. Never change."

Decided to have lunch here before catching Eurostar after reading Tripadvisor reviews; not disappointed. Pleasant location, good food, helpful efficient service. Not cheap but good value. Very enjoyable, I would come here again.

We have been staying in this area, which is a busy place, cafe has good service, food is nice with fair size portions, at a reasonable price. And great for people watching, you can see life all around. If your looking for a simple eat, not to far from the station, this is just perfect. View menu

We have been visiting this restaurant for three years; it is always friendly and welcoming. The food is always good and the wine good value Heading back from the Paris air show to our hotel in Bastille, we made a point of leaving Gare du Nord before catching the metro to dine here. As always not disappointed. We always go for the blackboard plats du jour

It was time for lunch and we happened to pass this place right next to Gare du Nord. From the outside it looked like many other restaurants do in Paris so we were very surprised by how modern and nice it was inside.Interesting menu (in a good way) which made it difficult to choose what to have. We all ended up with different dishes and were all extremely satisfied! Two of us had wine with the meal and it was also a very good choice recommended by the nice and friendly guy serving us. From all the places we went to during our trip this is the one we all rate the highest (although we did go to some that were much more expensive). Would love to come back and try something else from their menu :...
