"Have drove past this sweet looking little cafe loads of times and always wanted to give it a try but have never got around to it. Thankfully today myself and my wife were in town and called in for breakfast and it was really lovely. Really good choice available at very reasonable prices and also both the ladies were polite, efficient and friendly. I had mushrooms in cream on toast and my wife went for fried eggs on toast all perfectly cooked along with a lovely pot of tea for two. The cafe seems to have a lot of returning regular customers and we will definitely be returning too."

I dined at this restaurant some time ago and tried the vegan tofu hash dish. It was a delicious choice! (Review updated on September 14, 2022)

There are many vegan choices available at this restaurant, which was a pleasant surprise. I only tried the coffee cake, but the menu had so many appealing options that I plan on returning soon to sample more.

Service is excellent, cheerful and always service with a smile. The range of food is first class and I suggest you try the omelettes ! My choice is the vegetarian breakfast as it is always cooked to perfection. Nice seats outside and dogs are welcome inside and outside . I am a regular but often see new faces. It’s great to be able to go to my favourite cafe in Yeovil again. On my last visit , I had the Scampi and it was delicious. Keep up the good work ladies.

Despite the fact that this restaurant also serves non-vegan options, don't let that deter you from trying their vegan brunch dishes. The portions were incredibly generous and delicious! The tofu scramble was especially noteworthy, as shown in the picture. We also tried the tofu hash and a side of hash browns (which turned out to be unnecessary given the size of the other dishes). The service was excellent, the food was served hot, and the menu was well thought out.

This place is just the sweetest and loveliest cafe in Yeovil. Run by women, these ladies are attentive to your needs and you can order anything you want for breakfast. They let me have my tailored breakfast even those it was probably a bit cheeky and bonkers. But it was soooo good with very generous portions that defeated me. Honestly they really are just lovely and chatty and see you as a person. Will definitely come again!! Thank you so much ladies you rock!! Kate xx P.S: the window display is just so fun!

"Our first visit to The George Inn at Donyatt, we've drove by it time's going to other places and it always looks such a nice place. We decided to have lunchtime meal there to celebrate our anniversary and weren't disappointed, beamed ceilings, log burner and brick fireplace, farm tools and pictures on the walls cosy and oldie worldy with friendly locals just how we like our pubs. The staff and owner were really friendly, polite and chatted to us as if we locals from the village, the waitresses were smartly dressed, polite attentive always smiling, cheerful, charming and chatty. Even the chef nodded and smiled to us the couple of times he walked through and the bar and table areas were spotlessly clean. Our meals starters and mains were absolutely fantastic and amazing as was the presentation, they were hot good amounts of food with tender succulent meats and vegetables and the mashed potatoes were creamy smooth and light and have never had better. There's a good selection of beers and I had local ale which was amazing, clear, cool with a nice head and tasted like nectar. We will definitely be coming back soon and we can definitely recommend this pub, restaurant and hotel to family, friends, neighbours and anyone. A very big well done and thank you to the owners, all the staff especially the chef, please please please keep this pub the way it is, it's an absolute treasure and gem of a place to find. YOU ALL MADE OUR ANNIVERSARY VERY SPECIAL Especially in these times when a majority of local village pubs are closing down and being turned into houses or flats, we must all support our local village pubs like The George Inn."
