Firstly I would like to say that the service was excellent, unfortunately while the food was very good the portions were simply too small. It is not a cheap pub to eat at therefore you assume a decent sized adult portion will be served instead...we received child size portions.

This establishment never fails to disappoint,we had a superb Sunday lunch with family.The whole experience from start to finish was exceptional.The staff helpful and very pleasant nothing too much trouble.The food was excellent,we also had Christmas lunch there,a must for anyone in the area to...visit you will not be disappointed.

After reading previous reviews I was a bit worried that the portions might very small and low quality However the portions where not small, quality was good and price was about average . We went as a couple and had pre drinks a bottle of...wine and courses each total price of pounds. Which I find about average in value The portions were about right size and comparable to other restaurants and service was quick and pleasant View menu

The positives: We visited for lunch today. Great location, easy parking. Good coffee and wine Negatives: A very limited menu (particularly for vegetarians) Poor quality food and very small portions Menu descriptions do not match what you receive For example, the goat's cheese salad...starter at is slices of Beetroot with spots of goat's cheese foam, no salad or garnish, and no taste of goats cheese It should be renamed slices of beetroot with spots of cream foam. I would have thought the hospitality sector would have been striving to engage positively with customers again we won't be visiting The Devonshire Arms at Beeley again

So looking forward to this meal after a fantastic walk! I hadn’t read the reviews prior to our visit last night but totally agree unfortunately with the negative ones with reference to the limited menu small portions of underwhelming, unseasoned, overpriced food, I felt...I needed a bag of chips on the way home! I assume these reviews are read by the chef management but sadly not responded to as these similar criticisms have been very consistently made. We were also barked at (no pun intended) that they weren’t aware we had dogs, which wasn’t an issue as we left them in the car, but we also didn’t realise we had booked into the restaurant rather than the pub, as not too clear on the website...

We were so looking forward to eating here. Firstly I would like to say the staff were excellent, very friendly, and responded to every request we made. The pub area is lovely; just what a country pub should be. But the restaurant where we were...seated had zero ambience, it was totally modern and brightly lit, the neon pink lighting was particularly gaudy! The evening menu was very disappointing, the of us all struggled to find anything we fancied. The veggie menu was actually hilarious, mains consisted of different versions of risotto.
