""Die Metzgerei" or in english "Butcher House", is a new restaurant in town. In the facilities of an old butcher, you can enjoy all kind of meals. Almost all day breakfast, serving lunch and diner this place is offering food for every time. The speciality of this place is hard to tell, but whatever it is, the quality is very high and you can feel the passion for his profession of the owner of this place in every detail. Sundays you can surprise yourself with a "Sonntagsbraten" "Sundays Roast" which is altering every week. Steaks are all made in a 800° hot broiler and you can choose between all kind of first class meats from Filet Mignon 250gr to Porterhouse with 750gr and more. Sitting outside at Summer is the thing to do. Mingle with locals at the long Octoberfest Tables and get connected to the vibes of the cities, meet creatives, hipsters and every day Joes. Only the service has a bit to improve. Sometimes you have to wait a bit too long, or you don't have cutlery while your meal is already steaming in front of you. But I guess this is just a matter of time until the team runs nicely. Definitely a place worth a visit."

I came here a few times to have drinks outside and therefore it wasn't really a place for me to get breakfast. I went with friends and it was really good and they had quite a selection. They did not have soy milk though

I love the place, literally. I spend few days in Stuttgart and I went there every day. Nice environment, service and the food very tasty. Honestly, I would think about their dicke fritten even on my death bed. Moderate prices and great keller bier from...family business. Highly recommend.

They have some vegan dishes on the lunch menu and the taste is very good. I orderd sometimes the vegan ravioli and the last time the waitress told me that it isn’t vegan anymore because they decided to put egg in it. But it is still decelerated as vegan on the menu. So be careful. Good bagel for breakfast, but no vegan option for milk.

They have oat milk for coffee. The coffee is really good. In the menu is a veggie bagel for breakfast, on the weekends also a chia pudding. The dinner menu includes soba noodles, sweet potato with lentils and veggies, oriental salad with falafel. One Appetizer (Mezze Teller) can also be made vegan. Try it out ! We were at Die Metzgerei for dinner last week early May whilst visiting family in Stuttgart. One can sit inside or outside which we did. The staff is very friendly, the food is very good, an eclectic selection from club sandwich with the most delicious potato chips to raw salmon marinated in vodka, Nice beers too. It seemed like the locals go there, no tourist menu. Would recommend!

A very cozy and hip place. I had dessert and brunch and they were pretty tasty, but this time it went to dinner with friends I haven't seen long and we were just looking for a quiet place, that was it. Music, but not too loud and amazing songs, candlelight environment(kinda romantic) and great food. I recommend 100%! We had fish and chips with salmon and Wasabi mayo and also panna cotta with speculaas cookies and it was the sky.

I have been at Metzgerei three times. They have 2-3 vegan options on their menu, e.g. a veggie-curry and what I always had some homemade vegan ravioli! They are amazing and the portion size is decent, not like 4 ravioli on your plate or so as it is the case most of the times! They are around 10 €. The interior is nice and the staff is friendly. Can be busy there even on weekdays in the evening. reservation recommended. Updated from previous review on 2018-10-19

"Wow. Simply Awesome! Best dining experience my wife and I have had in several years, probably top all time, and we are real foodie snobs. They squeezed us in with only a couple hours notice. We got the course menu paired with wine....Little did we know that six courses in metric means First came the amouse bouse, a frothy chicken soup plus a croquette topped with dried mushrooms. Paired with wine of course. Then came a home made freshly baked baguette that was crazy delicious served with a dish of sour cream and chives as well as butter with pumpkin seeds. The bread was so good it could have been its own course, and the sour cream was the first of many unusual com I nations, but it worked. Next was a salad a combination of beet root, cabbage, Thai coconut milk and lemon grass. I hate beets and I loved this dish. Next wa the first actual course, duck liver pate and brioche with figs and wine sauce. Amazing! Now how about some slow cooked trout (which strongly resembled salmon) with tangerines and celery root. Then some white cod with Jerusalem artichokes and hazel nuts. Then, to cleanse the palate a glass of deer broth served in a glass like a brandy snifter. We're only halfway through. Now it's a slab of deer meat cooked like a tender steak, served with a cannelloni stuffed with deer and all set over mashed parsley root that could have passed as mashed potatoes. All garnished with an amazing deer gravy/sauce. Next comes some mont d'or cheese served with house made fruit bread, oranges, and rutabaga. Crazy com o but it was delicious. Now for dessert courses. Red wine sorbet. Think you're done? Next comes white chocolate ice cream serve with quince (purée, cubes, and foam) served with a chestnut parfait. Now we're stuffed, but time for another dessert: creme brulee paired with a chocolate brownie and a serving of mango mousse. Crazy good."
