"So many good things to say about this charming restaurant...the staff are great, the welcome sincere and there is a clear narrative about all the food being local Sicilian as well as the local wine. Food and wine excellent. Stuffed artichoke and squid to start...with and then meatballs and prawns shared as main courses. The meatballs would have to be the stand out dish. I liked the use of an IPad to show photos of the food..useful. The only thing that let the venue down was the music which where I was seated (just in to the small room on the right hand side with my left ear towards the music) was loud and horrible. Reworks of old songs...done badly...it was SO bad I cant believe that even the staff liked it. Would I go back..? Yes...Would I ask them to change the music ? YES ! Perhaps the music could be Sicilian as well ? It can’t be any worse than the stuff they were playing !"

We had a lovely dinner here on our only night in Ortigia. The staff are personable and informative. The food is light and fresh and a welcome change from some of the usual, heavier Italian cuisine. The stuffed artichokes and meatballs were particularly good.

We enjoyed a very good meal at Dioniso which is located in a very characteristic section of Ortigia. The menu is more interesting and varied than many of the other restaurants offer in this amazing town. I would recommend the fried calamari, any of the...pastas and the octopus with potato terrrine. Service was great, overall very good dining experience.

my mother and I ate here at november. we had cauliflower soup, grilled artichokes, risotto with walnuts and the meatballs with pumpkin pure. it was all excellent and the personal was attentive. an English menu has been estimated as the wide command of English. of the personal. it is located below a stone bomb in the ortigia part of syrakus. very charming, well done.

We were staying at the Grand Hotel Ortigia which is really less than blocks from this restaurant but since it's up a little alley street, it can be hard to find. Well worth the look The food and service are phenomenal. We could not...decide on what to eat so they gave us an Ipad with pictures of the food. Great idea. Very helpful service and suggestions. Started with Stuffed artichoke and fish soup. One of us had risotto but the winner was the citrus pasta. It was amazing. Never tasted anything like it before. We highly recommend this place if you are in Ortigia.

The restaurant is tucked away in one of the many side streets, but nonetheless, tourists seems to find it as it was packed the night we were there. We had not book, but being early enough we did get a table for four. The food,...mostly organic, is locally sourced, and a good deal of explanation regarding the food is done by the staff. The food was indeed excellent, and gluten free options are not a problem. The wine recommendations too were good. Staff friendly, but extremely polite. Only issue was acoustics and the noise level. The guests were not rowdy, but just the fact that the restaurant was full and with everybody talking it made it difficult to have a conversation. For four people, in...

"a dinner in general good, though with some dripping. the quality of raw materials is certainly excellent but not always appreciated at the most. I felt a bit on the roller coaster with a beaten finish. Although the place I like for its modern and minimal style, I find that there is a lack of personality and identity. the atmosphere is elegant and welcoming. the service was accurate, punctual and never intrusive. special mention to the sommelier who recommended me a great wine and a novelty for me, with the menu degotato. begins with a degotation of oil and focaccia. Stop, you can't leave! among other things all yeast from their products are very unified. the moment of the event is an explosion of flavors, three particular and delicious finger food, especially the enamelled fig. the appetizer provides tuna with figs and pistachios. He was melting in his mouth. pat the bowl with high edges, in which it was served, which made the ooo of knife and fork difficult and the experience less pleasant. the first small descent arrives. spaghetti (for my slightly back cooking) with black garlic, with chili oil and I could stop here because the goto of marinated and burrata shrimp was completely covered. the burrata, in fact, was not allowed. as if it had fallen by mistake, just to get the dish dirty. I sail with the curl, very soft, and a crumb to the olives, spectacular. in the dish also of caramelized onion, cucunci and a green apple frozen and fennel. The latter, personally, would have preferred it in puree, so as to tie everything better. start a new descent with dessert pre: a mango sorbet on the cocoa soil. More than anything was the ice flavored on something cocoa color from the unreceived goto. continue the vertiginous descent with dessert: a watermelon sorbet with ricotta cuffs and fresh fruit. also here of the flavored ice. for charity, ricotta and good fruit. but you can't define a dessert. Finally, it is clear, although partial, with the small pastry shop. a green apple jelly that knew of cooked apple, a kiss of a dama a little too hard and a creamy at the pistachio really good but that was already dissolved. I forgot that each dish had flowers, which did not add anything except decoration. No, thank you. Ultimately, as a client who loves to eat and as a professional who works with restaurants and hotels, I find that there are many good ideas that can be done better, and I know that it will be presumptuous, but I recommend to the chef to take a good pastry. because a sweet conclusion is everything that seeks the customer, as well as the last thing that will remember."
