"We have visited the Wheel many times before and therefore have a good idea of the experience we can expect. We recently visited with friends to catch-up and arrived circa so not late by evening dinning standards. Wine and beer was swiftly ordered and...served to the table with a smile from the waitress. of the party of went with starters, they we served quickly and very scrummy. Not too long after the mains were bought out, pasta dishes and one fish dish. Pasta dishes were all cooked to perfection however the fish dish was below par. The rissoto it was served on was dry and looked like it had been loitering in the kitchen waiting for the fish to decide to leap out of the pan or due to the size of the piece of fish the chef was having difficulty catching it in the pan. What ever the reason was it was not a pleasant, enjoyable plate of food. Conversation flowed and by now it was close to before we ordered desserts, we all had something different and to be honest the only dish that received praise was the Eatonmess, the other three dishes we not what I would expect, especially considering the price charged the Bakewell tart had obviously been heated so much the base was like concrete and the jam like sticky glue, the sticky toffee pudding certainly need more toffee flavor and the crumble lacked flavour, was very wet and left under the grill too long so was just starting to catch and burn. Not the best experience, the Chef and the management need to get back to ensuring the attention to detail is carried throughout the meal from start to finish, with all elements being served with love and care!"

"I arrived yesterday for lunch and ordered a large glass of Merlot and a half of Diet Coke. I was charged on my switch card £14.45. When I questioned the price I was told I’d been charged for Malbec and not Merlot. I was given a refund in “Cash” I have never had any refund on any purchase return to me in coins when it’s been paid on a card!!!!! Quite wrong. I ordered the loin of Lamb with dauphinois potatoes. The meal was not served with dauphinois potatoes but pave potatoes. I questioned the potatoes and the waitress told me that they were definitely dauphinois. Sorry I am a foodie, I know my potatoes and they were definitely not dauphinois. The other members of the party remarked that the vegetables were undercooked and inedible. The lamb was tough and the whole course extremely poor. The waitress offered me an alternative but I declined."

"what a great new place we found ,,,great food (steak was amazing)i had mixed grill with home cooked chips bang on and very filling, great atmosphere inside and out met some very friendly customers and a fabulous smile and welcome from the landlady places like this are very hard to find, this place is just set back a little off the main road but very visable and in a very beautiful setting i highly recommend a visit here the service and food is just how i like it great pub atmosphere with great pub food exellent cook and Host,,,Dee,, believe me you will not be disappointed .....very dog friendly there is even a doggie menu... "thalio came a little time ago to bridgnorth and took residency in the falken. since our first visit it has become a firm favorite. eating is with the best of the “Schmuck-Food” restaurants in birmingham and we constantly enjoy the. Top-class tandem in offer. the employees are dedicated and enthusiastic and take care of themselves clearly in both presentation, ingredients and taste. this is not their “pill it high” approach for eating it is finest Indian restaurants best. we keep saying that we are so happy to have thalio in bridgnorth, and with the summer approaching and providing a large outside dog friendly escaping area, we will drive there more often down."

"The Inn at Shipley was a lovely quiant country pub towards the West of Wolverhampton. The approach to the pub was welcoming with a warming message outside from the team. The team were attentive and friendly on entry to the pub and provided great customer service throughout the visit. We had booked a table for a larger number but some of our guests couldn't make it. The pub quickly rectified this with a more suitable table. The tables were well spread out to allow for a safe dining experience. Inside had a vintage and cosy dining experience; the usual fireplaces and low ceilings. Pros: Great customer service Excellent quality of food. The menu had a good selection of choices available. The atmosphere in the pub was very chilled. Cons: The temperature was a little uncomfortable. It was a little too hot for us and even after we had to switch one radiator off. The Game sausage roll was dry and the pastry was under done. The toilets did not have a toilet roll holder and were a little dated. The chips was slightly undercooked. Overall we would recommend and visit again. 8/10."
