"We were lucky to get a table without a reservation- all the other outside tables were reserved. Very few choices (five per course), a good sign, and nothing for vegetarians but perfect for gluten free eating. Octopus with harissa and les poisson de flo which...was described as seared/raw small tuna and all its accompaniments were amazing for starters. Main was ‘le cochon du copain’, was rich with wild mushrooms and purée potatoes. Wine is by the (small) glass but also good. Two courses with three glasses of wine: 95€ plus tip, so definitely not cheap. Service friendly but slow. Good street scene to observe while waiting."

Great food with a modern twist. A nice change from the traditional French meal. We enjoyed sharing some plates and the place was full every night we stayed at Kollioure book in advance.

It is such a pleasure to find a restaurant that produces completely innovative yet absolutely delicious food. Things you never expect to work are delicious. Two of the loveliest waitresses made the whole evening a pleasure.

We had a lovely memorable dinner at this place. Fortunately we were able to be seated outside. Everything was great and the waiter helped us with the English translations. The seafood is extraordinary here and so was dessert and the service.

We have eaten at El Capillo every year over the last 4 years. We were determined not to miss out on it this year, despite Covid. We are going to remember another great meal here as we suffer a two week quarantine back in Scotland....Jean-Phillipe and his team get better and better. L’annee prochaine!

We came across El Capillo while searching the backstreets of Collioure for lunch to avoid the seaside restaurants. We were delighted with our choice. The menu was inventive with interesting choices and fresh ingredients. The wine selection was also very good and we... enjoyed a good choice of their tapas-style dishes and local wines. Also a good friendly service. A find!

I hate to write this review because I love this restaurant. We have eaten here many times before; food lovely and service amazing. Last year we ate at El Capillo two nights in a row. Tonight not so much! You look tired guys and...it feels like you don’t really want us at your restaurant. The food was still pretty good but service so slow and inattentive. I know times are tough but please get your enthusiasm back!

We are an elderly (UK) couple and were hungry and tired from the buffet gales. We were greeted most with smiles, advice about the menu and patience with my very poor French. I had graveax followed by beef carbonara, my wife had foi gras, then fish followed by chocolate mousse. The delicacy of flavors was evident, portion sizes were generous, and service was quick and relaxed. Turns out we were the first post-Covid guests. Collioure has a wide range of restaurants but El Capillio stood out. We really enjoyed our visit and glad we didn't happen to have to keep quiet. And we're going again before we go.

"at the turn of our culinary experiences in the department of the Eastern Pyrenees we have .fin .... a pepit to advise you without delay. and in a place for the least astonishing for a restaurant of good quality since located at argelès on the sea and more precisely on the aisle of the pines, with sea view! It's scary and it's worth a detailed opinion! So our little family went to this establishment by chance the first time then by choice the following times.First of all you will be welcomed with the smile and a positive dynamism that is pleased. the whole team without any exception is absolutely adorable and will fill you with small attentions and a quality service in which you will feel automatically comfortable. a great thank you especially to julie and fabien for their constant welcome their kindness and efficiency. a relaxed atmosphere in an extremely touristic setting it always makes fun and unfortunately too exception in this type of establishment especially on the seafront. the atmosphere is in a just middle here, no chichi or special standing but not a too casual atmosphere that makes you uncomfortable. in short you will just feel good. From the beginning, I specify that children and families are welcome, and that small and large will find their happiness. On the map, great classics such as burger, pizzas, sea dishes, salads, and meats. 2 menus are offered for adults one to 21,90 € and the other to 28 € 90 .the child menu is displayed to less than 10 € and offers you a qualitative choice, hamburger house, steak chopped way bouchère, mussels-frites, etc. with a drink and a dessert included, the quality is to appointment and I would like to emphasize the quality of presentation of the towel on the adult side we chose the fish soup, with an extremely fresh and extremely tasty, it is served with crusts and rust, as well as a nice presentation. the entrance is very copyy, tasty, qualitative. There's nothing to say. Then, sir will choose a bavette with fresh fries and a salad, you made yourself home, the meat is extremely tender and qualitative. dishes are carefully erected, the pleasure of the eyes and as much at the rendezvous as the gustative pleasure. on my side I choose the mussels with roquefort sauce accompanied by their fries. a great bravo for the quality of the sauce, it is not here a powder sauce reconstituted as in most establishments in the area, but well with a cream and homemade cheese sauce, with care, simply exquisite. The mussels are of good quality, the dish is very copied, I am simply under the charm. On the side of the desserts, a companion for children, and on the menu we choose a dessert made of yogurt, fresh strawberry, strawberry coulis, speculoos, accompanied by whipped whipped with mint leaves. dessert and fresh, it is tasty, once again the quality is at the rendezvous. Here you don't get your head if you ask for a second spoon and instead share gives the smile to the waiters. !!! and that, also it's nice. This is one of the first times that I write a positive opinion on a department establishment located on the shores of the sea, because unfortunately too often involved in a performance race the establishments forget the quality and loyalty of the customers outside the summer season. here the value for money and extremely satisfying, and it is with great pleasure that we will return to family and friends share a pleasant meal in this place. concerning the toilets in which there is no bezel on the bowl, this may facilitate the maintenance and hygiene of the place, but I admit that this offers comfort especially for children who would be a little more. i.e. that the establishment offers a rich interior decoration, provided, that will make you travel a mojito by hand in the heart of a cold atmosphere. the view of the sea is also very nice, the decoration is warm, and the touch of humour are appreciable and appreciated! budget to 4 we paid 59 euros. It's not the ruin when you see the quality of the place.A big thank you for your kindness! It's very soon."
