Recently visited for my daughters 8th birthday. A really friendly and welcoming team who made it special for her. Good prompt service and everyone enjoyed their food. Thank you

I have visted Friendly Phills on many occasions the staff are very friendly and helpful which makes me fill very welcome, the service briilant, the food is excellant and great value for money, lovely clean and tidy restaurant its a pleasure to eat there.

I found Friendly Phil's to be clean, bright, and welcoming. The staff were friendly and even offered my grandson a coloring sheet. They took our order promptly and the food arrived quickly and tasted delicious. We particularly enjoyed the dessert of churros and ice cream. This restaurant was a bit lackluster. The burger was okay, but nothing outstanding. It felt like it was missing something, like a deflated helium balloon. It probably was impressive at one point, but not when I visited. Additionally, despite the name suggesting friendliness, I did not encounter any lively staff members, which was disappointing. On a scale from completely lifeless to TGI Fridays, they only rated a 3.

Just had cheese burger and sweet potato fries. Both the burger and fries were piping hot and very tasty. I expected a small portion but the chips were plentiful and the burger was huge. Would definitely recommend and would 100% return. Also had churros and a brownie for dessert which were perfect. The sauce that came with the churros was so delicious. We were served by a wonderful lady called Renata who was very polite and attentive to us.

Took my daughter and grandson for lunch. Ordered two salads and waited 25 minutes. Took one look and saw that the salad was old. brown spots and mushy underneath. Eventually flagged down the waitress and told her to take it away as eating stagnated salad leaves wasn't healthy. No time for anything else so just asked for the bill for our drinks. She only removed one salad from the bill as apparently salad is meant to be brown! I refused to pay and left. Staff never apologised and were rude. Avoid !! View menu

I went to this restaurant for a birthday dinner with a group of 10 people. The service was friendly and attentive, with three waitresses checking on us regularly to ensure we were happy. Drinks were refilled quickly and the food was enjoyable. The price of £14 for a burger was on the higher end, but it tasted good so I didn't mind. The ribs were also delicious. I later discovered that there are discounts available on Groupon, which would make it better value for money. However, this may deter customers from paying full price. Stopped in Friendly Phil’s for a late breakfast before Christmas shopping at Whiteley. It wasn’t very busy and we were shown by a friendly waitress to a booth by the window. The service seemed to be pretty efficient however the problems started when my bacon and scrambled eggs with a muffin arrived. I had specifically asked for the bacon to be well done but what turned up had hardly been shown the frying pan and was decidedly “rare”. I pointed this out to the waiter who promptly took the plate away returning 5 minutes later with now rather better cooked bacon but the plate swimming in liquid to the extent that the muffin was soggy. The food at the Whiteley branch of Friendly Phils was distinctly underwhelming. The burger patty was black and crunchy in places where it was so overcooked, and the burger bun had blackened edges from being burnt. Salad garnishes on the plate and in the burgers contained brown edged wilted lettuce. They got the orders wrong for one person on our table. We then had to experience a female member of staff and a male chef uttering expletives and discriminatory terminology when loudly discussing a customer who was at the next table to us because that customer had asked about allergies.
