"Lovely country pub. Plenty of car parking. Staff attentive and food was excellent. Only problem was it was very cold. It was mentioned to a member of staff who lit the log burner. However it smoked so badly initially that the front door had to be opened and a member of staff had to stand with a cushion over the smoke alarm!! It got colder and colder while the door was open but eventually started to warm up. Might be better in the future to light the fire before the customers arrive. Other than that I really enjoyed my meal and will return and recommend."

A lovely meal with excellent service. Tables well distanced and staff in masks. If anything, slightly over priced, but very good food.

Poor food quality. Vegetables and Yorkshire Puddings were clearly left for some time before serving, they were very dry. Also, not a lot of food for a £16 roast.

In general, it was a delightful experience at the restaurant. The service was friendly and attentive, and the food was good although the menu had a limited variety of options.

Customer service was good and ambience was wonderful. Food was average, the burger seemed like cheap patty’s but the fries were really good. The nibble box was served in a takeaway box which was... different.

This restaurant is definitely too expensive for what it offers. The Sunday roast is not worth the price, with Yorkshire puddings that are more like cake and undercooked vegetables accompanied by only two potatoes. Overall, not a great experience.

The George is always a lovely pub to visit, either for a pint mid walk or for Sunday Lunch (which was this time for us). We’ve been twice in the past 3 months and it’s been great both times. The team have really managed well considering all the Covid issues in 2020. We will definitely be visiting again soon

We had brunch at the restaurant on a Saturday with my husband and did not feel restricted due to social distancing. The tables are well spaced out and the team was very careful throughout the service. Food was lovely too. I would recommend this friendly gastro pub and will visit again to try the pancakes next time.

We really enjoy Sunday lunch at the George Dragon. The atmosphere is nice and relaxed, and the staff are very accommodating. However, this week the normally excellent Sunday lunch was slightly disappointing due to some odd Yorkshire puddings. I'm confident that they will return to their usual high standard next time.
