"The restaurant was very busy but had a quick turnaround. We ordered a club sandwich for £10.95 and lattes, which were all delicious. The service was good and the views were nice. There was only one ladies' and one gents' toilet available, as well as a large carpark. The menu was extensive but on the pricier side. Despite this, the restaurant was still packed with customers. The shop was lovely with plenty of items to browse."

One very busy farm shop and coffee house, which tells you it is an excellent stop off for anything you might fancy.

The restroom facilities at this restaurant were very poor. There were no hand towels available and the trash bin had not been emptied. View menu

Visited as a couple for afternoon tea. The presentation was great, loads of variety. Food was fresh and tasty. Thoroughly enjoyed the visit and will be back soon.

Went here for lunch. Large choice with added Christmas specials made deciding difficult. Nice atmosphere, friendly staff, warm and cosy, great place to visit especially on a wet grey day.

We visit this restaurant frequently and are never disappointed. The food is excellent and the daily specials are always delicious. They have something for everyone in the shop, from soaps to chocolates, and a fantastic butcher as well. View menu

Out for lunch today went to Gloagburns, first time in ages, what a treat, staff brilliant, food scrummy recommend the Potato and leek chicken soup and the twice baked cheese souffle my companion had Soup, Baked potato with prawn marie rose she raved about it we both had puds, delicious and tea. Highly recommend to all, will say it's a wee bit pricey but we thoroughly enjoyed every bite.

Really good farm shop excellent fresh food department. Of course at this time of year fresh Christmas . The rest of the shop has a good variety of lovely gifts that are rather special. Also we had lunch which was so good, Gluten free friendly. I had a delicious open sandwich on gluten free bread. There are lots of choices, it's a very full menu. There is on site parking and although busy I got a space straight away .

"This place has all the potential for a 5 star experience and you may well have it by going here! Unfortunately, we did not and it's worth explaining why. For context, we didn't stay overnight just had a meal in the restaurant one night and went to the beer garden another. Restaurant: Food was generally very good and prices reasonable. I'd especially recommend the tempura chard if it's on the menu! The setting of the restaurant is also lovely. However, we ended up waiting about an hour between starters and main meal 2 people . We were advised approx 40 minutes into the wait that one of the mains was no longer available and a substitute would be provided there was some gnocchi improvised from potato mash involved. Service were on top of this though and did remove this item from the bill. So in summary, good elements involved but a couple areas that could do with attention. Beer garden: We went along to the beer garden to catch the rugby world cup final. This was sadly quite a disappointing experience that ended up with the limited attendance clearing out before half time . In short, coverage only started after national anthems. No sound other than via headphones ?? , which didn't work ?! . Pizzas were pretty tasty but the cheese was stringy as a ball of yarn positive with no cutlery or tissues provided negative . And at c. £16 per pizza, felt a bit cheated by the whole experience. The rooms themselves look lovely and I'm sure on a summer's day if you're looking to enjoy some drinks and a bit of food in a lovely setting, the Taybank probably covers exactly what you're looking for! They also run a traditional music session in the main bar on a Thursday evening, which is absolutely worth checking out! But I'm afraid for us, it's unlikely we would rush back for anything other than that."
