"This was our first visit to The Miners Arms, and it certainly won't be our last. The place is impeccably clean from top to bottom. The landlady and staff were exceptionally friendly and welcoming. I ordered the hunters chicken, while my husband had the ham, egg, and chips. Both meals were delicious and came with a delightful side salad. Thank you, Miners Arms, for a wonderful meal and warm hospitality. You definitely deserve a glowing 5-star review from me. We'll surely be back! The price per person was around £30–40."

"Not a great experience for my birthday unfortunately as I've heard good things about the food here. It started with complimentary appetiser roll with butter which was what it was but ok. Then followed by belly pork with honey with a little salad on top which was ok but forgettable. Mains was fillet of beef on a mushroom sauce which was ok except the beef was cooked very rare for medium rare and tasteless. My mother had battered haddock which was wet ,soggy on the underside of the batter and the chips were pale also a small bowl of veg which was slightly overcooked as the cabbage was soggy in the serving bowl hardly enough to share between two meals either. The young waitress was very good. Atmosphere didn't make me feel very relaxed and didnt stay for dessert. I came with some site workers two years before and they enjoyed it as there was a choice of a steak, curry as I think a steak is a staple in any restaurant. Food: 1 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 2"

"We visited the Restaurant on the 22/07/22. We were warmly greeted and seated at our table. When we were asked would we like starters we asked for 2 poppadoms. Having waited 20 minutes with the phone very loudly ringing 4 times and a flow of take away customers coming in and out. We were asked once more was it 2 poppadoms each in desperation we said yes. They reached in and brought them from a heated cabinet easy peasy so why the wait? We were asked for our main choice my husband ordered Chicken Koria I had Tandoori Chicken with Lemon Rice and Saag Aloo. Approximately 1 hour later we received the dishes. No salad was initially served with the Tandoori although as later offered. The Sagg Aloo was lovely but the Tandoori Chicken dry feedback was given. With no response. The Koria lacked flavour. But still the phone continued to ring. We are not from the area but like to support local business where we visit. The bill came as a shock we were charged £6.90 for 4 poppadoms which they said included chutneys and onion sambal. We did not receive mint dip with with tandoori chicken but this was brushed aside. Sadly not a good visit"

"We stopped at this restaurant on our way back from a day out at the Forest of Dean a few weeks ago. We hadn't made a reservation, but since we arrived early, they were able to seat us in the restaurant area (the few tables in the small bar were already taken). The lady behind the bar, who seemed to be the landlady, was helpful but not overly friendly. The menu consisted of standard pub fare at average prices. The lasagna was interesting, as it seemed to have a layer of pesto under the cheese topping, which gave it a unique taste that may not appeal to everyone. They didn't have homemade garlic bread, just frozen pre-cut baguette slices that you could buy for £1 in the shop. However, the chips were very good. The pub itself was quite old, with charming exposed wood beams, but the decor seemed to be a bit mismatched and didn't quite fit the traditional pub atmosphere. Overall, the meal was decent but didn't exceed our expectations considering the prices. It was a case of "you get what you pay for." We probably wouldn't visit again."

"On our first visit to this beautiful place, we can't wait to return. There are so many retail shops showcasing and selling a variety of crafts. I purchased a stunning three-photo wooden frame that is beautifully suspended. Additionally, there is a large nursery with an impressive selection of plants, trees, shrubs, and garden ornaments, among other items."
