"My first time at this lovely restaurant, I arranged for a takeaway over Facebook when I arrived was pleasantly surprised that it was 20% cheaper than I expected because it was takeout. I’m staying in Mosstowie for two weeks so rather than drive back I drove to Lossy Harbour ate there. It was a spectacular meal. I had scallops to start seafood mixed grill with garlic butter, salad, beautifully cooked vegetables, chips so much wonderful fish; salmon, mackerel, haddock (I think! , Langoustine tail a huge prawn. It was utterly delicious. It felt like every element had been prepared with love. There were no tired salad leaves nothing was over or under done. I’m going back to London in the morning with a smile on my face can’t wait to come back next year eat in. As you can see from my picture all I left was a decimated prawn a few stray bits of samphire. Absolute Yum! (There was even a bit of free art thrown in on my Takeaway box"

"Phoned and ordered 5 things. The girl behind the counter told me everything was in the bag. Checked when I got in the car, there was 2 missing. Went back in asked her to double check everything. Got back to the caravan, to find that one of the things was the wrong order. Instead of jalapeño poppers I was given scampi. Asked for salt vinegar on chips didn’t get any. Food was horrible, would never go back. The girls were too busy eating onion rings behind the counter chatting to their pals."

"A group of us stopped in here for a couple of sociable pints on what was a memorable day 's drinking. Ideally located on the doorstep of Lossiemouth 's East Beach, we sampled both the internal and external seating to take in some of the views. I definitely felt comfortable throughout my stay. The draught pints were part of a fine selection of world 'Beers ', the atmosphere was quiet but very inviting (peaceful), the staff were friendly and the cost of the rounds, although slightly expensive, were justifiable as we truly felt that we were in one of the town 's more upper market establishments. Although brief, this was a welcomed one hour stop during our day out. Fun had by all!"

"We arrived and the waiter gave us the menus cards but forgot to give us the drinks cards. We ordered starters only for the waitress to mistake our starters with the table besides us who arrived at least 10 minutes after us. The starters were good, my boyfriend took the Cullen risotto which was quite good so his main was fine ! But I took the fish and chips and was very disappointed. First of all the vegetables (peas and lettuce) weren’t seasoned at all, and the fish was just so greasy that it wasn’t good anymore. My boyfriend is a cook in France so he can guess those things and it seemed like the frying itself wasn’t that good quality speaking. I don’t really recommend this place, but the woman in charge of the restaurant was really nice and the place itself was quite warm and welcoming."

"We visit Lossiemouth every year and having used a different Chinese restaurant already the same week, thought we give the Thai Cottage a go. Instant regret. “Crispy Beef strips in Black Bean Sauce” was like sloppy beef fat in a sauce formed of nothing but oil. Sweet Sour chicken balls were HARD and super chewy, sweet and sour sauce tasted like someone had liquidised a bag of skittles and added a whole pack of sweeteners to it. Singapore chowmein was good, but that can’t make up for the two TERRIBLE dishes we also had."
