"Working in the Hamburg office, my colleagues took me to Il Vagabondo. It was early when we arrived, but by it was packed! That's always a good sign. No menus, just giant blackboards they wheel to your table. My only tip would to...re-write the blackboards as the wording was quite illegible in places. We ordered wine which was very drinkable and you got complimentary bread, olives, capers and this delicious pesto style paste. We dove straight into the mains, I had spaghetti wth Sicilian tomatoes and my colleagues had s fish style dish all very tasty, we cleared out plates! For dessert we couldn't decide. There were profiteroles, apple tart, chocolate cake, ice cream, panna cotta, creme brulee, mascarpone cream so much to choose from. So the lovely waitress offered to give us a taste of everything which was amazing! So we each dug in with a spoon. Each dessert was delicious! A very vibrant buzzy atmosphere, friendly staff, great menu, fantastic desserts I recommend it highly!"

il vagabondo is a real Italian restaurant. the mixed antipasti was fresh and very aromatic. the most important courses were great and especially the truffle pasta service was excellent

As in the title the portions are too small. For a eur antipasto pinsalata di polpo you get an awfull little portion. Tirqio si dice in Italiano. Main dish was so so taste and small too. Not a direct recommendation though not eaten badly.

We booked a table for people at We waited outside and waiters were just saying minutes more again and again, without even saying there were sorry. So disappointing. In the end we left as it could have been much...longer. Food is not everything for a restaurant...

the food was good. but for a glass house wine to load is quite steep. if they want to eat the same, but in a more beautiful environment and with better service, they should instead go to il boccone in barenese. the menu is accurate. the same, but the inside and with dives much more pleasant.

I went with some friends, we reserved a table. The waiter was very unfriendly when we asked for tap water (after ordering more than one portion of wine or soft drinks each), telling us that if we wanted tap water we should go somewhere else ...At that point we would have left, but for the sake of the evening we stayed. The pasta was good, the risotto better.

Went for a private party so the restaurant was closed for the occasion. We had people and altho the large number of guests the service was great; we had courses!!! all of which were DELICIOSO....everything was fresh and homemade and a fabulous accompanied...by wonderful Tuscan white and red wine. Highly recommend the restaurant. It's a casual place with wonderful EVERYTHING!
