The restaurant has a very nice atmosphere and nice staff. I liked the variety of italian dishes. We had to wait for a while but the dishes tasted delicious...

Nice service! Very top! But the food is absolutely average. Not impressed The dessert was Cassata sich supposedly have pistachio ice inside. I haven’t seen or tasted any pistachio flavor tho View menu

We found this place on Trip Advisor and the reviews are right. This is very good spot for dinner. The salads were fresh and the food was super. I had pasta and my wife had scalloped chicken with mushrooms....both perfect You will not be unhappy...here

We came late into town and many places were not serving dinner anymore. It was but at Incontro there was no problem getting a table. Love Italians. Not only were the still willing to serve us, they also served a great dinner. We got...a small soup from the house first. Nice. Then we had the carpaccio with rucola and parmesan cheese. Maybe a little too much dressing. But the main course, linguine al cognac was terrific. Great place. Would definitely come back

I popped in for a quick lunch with a coworker. Immediately upon walking in got carried away by fantastic oldschool Italian service. It’s one of those places where you cannot rush in and out. It’s a place where food is celebrated not fastserved and fasteaten....And rightfully so because it was delicious! My coworker had a pasta dish and I went for lamb racks. Both were amazing. I wanted to go back again and again because food at our hotel was rather miserable. I would certainly go back! Delicious! Grazie View menu

Went there with my wife to simply have a beer and a wine. Right from the outset it was apparent we weren't welcome despite the fact that there was no one else in the restaurant. Rude and unwelcoming staff who hovered close by!!! Could not...relax due, I think to the fact that we only wanted to have a drink, not a meal and that we sat at a table which had been set up for drinks but which had to be changed because we were now sitting there. A simple polite request to move to another table would have been no problem. Staff encountered were rude and it had nothing to do with the language barrier. Would avoid this place

The best meal I’ve had in quite some time. Good seafood is difficult to find in Germany, but my boyfriend’s seared tuna steak with vegetables and my grilled seafood plate don’t remember the price but it was worth it were both fantastic. The staff...was attentive, friendly and offered great wine pairings when asked. The Castello Svevo Bianco from Sicilians was a perfect white for my dinner. I highly recommend this place, you can’t go wrong. They were kind enough to bring me a menu in English and many of the staff spoke English. One waiter also spoke Spanish with my boyfriend, who is from Spain and doesn’t often get to converse in his own language in Germany. It was a true delight

Was in Mainz for the night on a work trip, and I was looking for a nice place to have a cold beer, eat some great food, and read a few articles about the history of this great city. This place was perfect. I felt...like something simpleangel hair pasta, with a light red sauce with garlic and some spicy peppers. Far exceeded my expectations. In addition, they offered me some homemade pumpkin soup to try, which was perfect on a cold evening. Everything about Incontro was top notchthe ambiance, the food, and the service.
