"we had walked at this bar/restaurant on a seaside and decided to stop – partly for the location, to part for the Ace music (bossanowa covers popular songs,) and to part, as we saw that people splash aperol drink. yes! we were displayed directly on the water at a table and ordered drinks. we were not sure we would eat here, but the great location and friendly service meant we wanted to hang around and we were glad we did. my man had an excellent beef tar, and it was a salad italienne for me. both were nicely served and delicious. a tiny part: the seats are a bit low or the tables are a bit high! but it did not spoil our visit. we were set as the sun, and it was simply beautiful – really good, relaxed music, eating, looking and service. we found this place."

This restaurant is only surviving because of its lovely location. Food is inedible and expensive! We were a big group of 9 and not a single dish was nice. My kids would do a better job. Don't go!

Simple and delicious cuisine. Service with a smile. Charming and relaxed atmosphere. The address that allows us to be on holiday at 15 minutes from the house... by the lake, under the trees, with a postcard decor!

What a find!!!! Le Pecheur is a casual/local restaurant in a stunning location right on the water. We ate here twice during our stay in Veyrier du Lac so sampled a variety of the food from the menu. Always good food from fresh sea food...to salads to chicken nuggets and chips for the kids! Empty plates all round! The staff were friendly and accommodating (speaking excellent english if necessary! Nice and friendly restaurant next to the beach of the Brune. We almost have feet in the lake. Not only is the menu varied and all makes you want but the kitchen is good. Special mention for impeccable service. Even when evenings are very busy, waiters and waiters take the time to take care of us by leaving their stress aside. Bravo! Please note: no resa by phone, you have to come on site to book a table.

Le pêcheur is a 'Brasserie ' on the lake. Location is gorgeous and if you go there on a sunny day it 's a guaranteed blast. For the food, don 't expect a 3 on the Michelin. Not the purpose nor the objective. When rating I always...look at the quality price ratio. A good index for le pêcheur. Crowded in the Sunny evenings. The staff is young, efficient but certainly not perfect but again, a rather good price correlation. We 're going there regularly and will continue to do so.

"We had a weird feeling about this restaurant when we were given 2 menu books WITHOUT any price at first. Turned out that their gastronomic pricing didn't match their brasserie standard at all. My friend asked a couple of questions about some dishes, the waiter...was very puzzled and passive, said a couple of times that he didn't know. After that, we were served some kind of MUSHY OLD bread before the meal. If this was a sign of welcoming from the owner, then he failed right there. In our main courses, apart from the meat and fish ingredients, each of us got half of a small potato, 1 small stick of leek, 1 lonely cauliflower, some smashed petit pois with the size of a small coffee capsule, and 1 line of smashed carrot. Looks like the quantity one would place on a plate of a gastronomic restaurant with 8 courses, except that this is NOT a gastronomic restaurant, from the plastic menu, the furniture, the old bread, the cutleries, the different menu pricing and the service which failed to describe the dishes. The worst part, was when the waiter came and asked us if everything went well, I gave him the feedback that the food was good but the veggie was way too little. He first proposed us to eat more dessert, then when I said no, he got so upset and defensive that he even pointed at the kitchen telling me that I should go to see the chef and discuss with him myself. Why bother asking your client how their meal was if you can't receive a candid feedback? Being a frequent traveller, coming from the hospitality industry, I have to say this place is to AVOID AT ALL COSTS! Unless you have too much money and eating next to a canval is way more important than being treated in a disrespectful manner, and leaving the restaurant with a happy stomach."
