"I was so excited to try Le Pointu and was looking forward to the brunch all week. We went today and we will probably never return. The drinks and coffees we ordered were good, then the food came. The presentation was lovely but my benedict...was cold and my husbands meal was warm. I have never been served a cold breakfast plate before and was unable to finish the meal it was so so bad. I can only imagine how long the plate was sitting before being brought to me. I didn't say anything to the staff, because they were packed and we did not feel like waiting more time for food. We have only heard good things about this place, and are so disappointed in our experience."

My friend works there. It’s great, he tells me wonderful things about it!

The place is really nice, and the service friendly. The food, however, is terrible.

Food was great, however the fresh orange juice was warm and on my salad I found little insects

A very nice place, we went at night. The beer was very tasty and a good size and the dinner was good.

Why, in the middle of a heatwave, offer a carafe of water for 1fr “for the planet” (and paid water in general). Where does the money go? Does Le Pointu also share in its profits?

Superb toasts, a real treat for lunch. The servers are pleasant and smiling. A bit of a wait but worth it. Too bad there is no longer the Avocado Toast , but the others are excellent.

If you are looking for a nice bar/restaurant to spend your evening look no further. Vincent the Barman will surprise you with his homemade preparations..! If you are looking for a place to Brunch, you NEED to try their shakshuka! My favorite place in Lausanne...hands down.

Some expectations after all these amazing reviews. Maybe it’s better to go in the morning (for the brunch) instead of in the evening for a drink and food?! The cocktail was so small for 15 CHF! And not so tasty. And food was good, a bit small but ok. Perhaps I’ll try to come once in the morning to try the breakfast. Otherwise I won’t come back.

We came for a brunch without reservation and was seated at the window high chairs, not the most ergonomic seat but it was nice as we could people watching the busy Saturday morning of lausanne : They had typical brunch menu like egg benedict and more unique offer like shakshuka. Food portion was sufficient to fill up a man's hungry stomach. One of the best cafe in Lausanne!
