"I booked Levanter for a surprise 30th meal for my girlfriend’s birthday and needed accommodating for 28 guests. Obviously, this is quite a high number of people and was unsure whether they would be able to help, I really wanted to book as its our favourite eatery in Ramsbottom. The food is just incredible! After a quick enquiry it was established that they could seat us all which was great. The night was gong to be a complete surprise, so I needed to liaise with the restaurant to make sure the cat didn’t get out of the bag! I was put onto our host for the night Lucy who was amazing throughout the whole process and between us we come up with a plan that completely worked! Want to pass a massive thanks onto Lucy for all her help she is a real credit to you. Also a quick mention to the other staff who all played a huge part in the night. The food was amazing we had Tapas banquet and each dish was spot on everyone said it was a great way to enjoy different food without having to choose from a menu. Thanks to everyone at Levanter you made it a real special night!"

Everything we ate was delicious. Some of the best tapas we’ve ever had! Staff were friendly and seated us without a reservation. Dishes were spaced out in a good way as it meant they were cooked fresh and arrived piping hot.

Food was absolutely excellent, only one downside that we thought was a little strange… we ordered the iberico ham but was told they had nobody qualified to slice it (on a Saturday night too). Otherwise the food was amazing and the service was great.

Fabulous Sunday lunch after a long overdue absence. Service was brilliant from a very friendly and professional team. Food was the best in memory of going there, seasoning spot on. Young chef Liam is going to be a star!! Beetroot and blue cheese wow, fish « crisps « as I called them also fab. An all round super expérience.

Love this place. Our favourite restaurant and so pleased it is so nearby! Food exceptional on our most recent visit we had delicious baby squid, whole mackerel and meatballs. Adore the deep fried aubergines, chickpeas, bread, olives, etc, etc, never had a dish that has been less than exceptional. Wine is fabulous and cocktails delicious and lethal! Service always brilliant. Can’t recommend highly enough. View menu

Four of us went to the restaurant on the afternoon of Friday, November 18th. It was a relaxing afternoon of enjoying tapas and delicious wines. The food, drinks, and service were all excellent. We have been lucky enough to have had tapas in Barcelona, Cartagena, Cadiz, and Valencia, and this restaurant was on par with them. We highly recommend it and will definitely return. P.S. Make sure to try the roast potatoes.

Booked a table at Baratxuri…. Seated at a Small plastic table outside for 4, not enough room for food and drinks on the table. Small pop up tables would solve this issue. Waiter said they hear that a lot!!! Food was average, not worth £200 for Tapas for 4 people. Very average food and service PS if you book and have to cancel they don’t automatically refund the £10 PP booking deposit, you have to email them to request it… want rush to go back.

I recently had lunch at this charming restaurant. We chose to sit outside and were assisted by a very helpful waitress who provided great recommendations from the menu. All the dishes were freshly cooked and delightful. My party of three enjoyed a meat and cheese platter to start, followed by crab fritters, honeyed chorizo, chicken thighs in lemon and almond sauce, and sea bream with orange and fennel salad. The tasty bread was a nice addition as well. Overall, the service was excellent. View menu

Restaurant cancelled my reservation at late notice without any explanation. This was for a special occasion on 5th April and restaurant cancelled 4th April despite having sent an email the previous asking that I confirm the booking. Tried contacting them via phone and email without success. However, on checking their website there’s a message thanking all customers over the past 9 years as the restaurant is now closed. Sad that the business has now ceased but if this is the level of customer service and care then it’s hardly a surprise. A telephone call or email of explanation would have been common courtesy.

Yesterday afternoon, I stopped by a restaurant for drinks and was planning to eat as well. We sat at the bar, ordered and paid for our drinks, which had a service charge added to it, so be aware of that. After a few rounds of drinks, we decided to order some Iberian Ham and Tapas. When we asked the bartender, who was very nice, if we could order food, he said he would ask the Manager. Upon his return, he informed us that the Manager was too busy sorting out the tills. We will not be returning to this restaurant again. We usually go to Holcombe Tap and highly recommend their service and food, as it provides a much better experience.

"Well, it 's been a while since I 've reviewed a place but this little gem has certainly reawakened my vigour for it. Visited this evening as a kind of belated birthday celebration with my husband and son and very glad we did indeed. We happened upon this place a few weeks back (passing by and grabbing a cocktail after the days plans fell through and instantly took to the place and it 's wonderful staff and from the off had intentions to visit again an so finally did tonight), within seconds of seating ourself at the bar we were remembered by the owners, which to me shows great calibre on the customer service front. As someone with an exceptionally sweet tooth when it comes to alcohol it was our lucky day to find they had cocktails on 2for£10 and hell can the owner Jo mix like a minx (even doing us an off menu blend to account for tastes). The husband not being a big drinker happily sat at the bar chatting with staff and customers nursing his Peroni whilst me and my son dived headlong into the extensive classical and modern mixed cocktail list. Having been lured into great expectations (previously sampling delicious tasters) from Jo 's lovely husband Dave on our first brief visit we were definitely eagerly placed to dive into dinner tonight. Our lovely waitress Sian, stood patiently while we chopped and changed idea 's and orders, laughed with us, checked regularly everything was to our tastes as did the other young waitress that dropped drinks over to us. Both girls portraying the perfect mix of friendly and professional, a refreshing change to be served by people that clearly enjoy their working environment. And on to the food... we started with olives (and boy was it a substantial portion in comparison with some establishments weak efforts), hubby was first in there, impressed with the quality of marinade (too many places these days forget the little efforts like this thinking folk can 't differentiate something tipped out of a supermarket packet). After much debate (I had my eye on far too many dishes) choices were made, Hubby had the Filo Kefta, which had a light pastry, adequate spice and smoothly complimentary dip, for main he went with the day 's Special of Lamb with fondant potato, heritage carrots and a divinely velvety Jus which he thoroughly enjoyed (and he 's hard to please, being well versed himself and making a point of getting the lovely Chef Darren a glass of wine in appreciation). The lad had a Sirloin steak burger cooked medium rare and is now demanding we visit again soon. lol I went with the Gravlax to start, instantly aware of the clean flavour from its curing cutting through (I even brought a titbit home for my kitty to enjoy), as for main, I 'd initially had my mind on fish but upon discovering the owner Jo was also a blue steak lover I had to try one there and wow they really take care in choosing their suppliers because that was an A grade cut of meat, even my son (who prefers medium-rare) upon trying a slice said it was an exceptional piece of meat I had it with asparagus, no sauce and swapped out the chips for a feta/pepper bowl which worked perfectly as did the glass of Shiraz that Jo picked out to compliment it for me. Genuinely I can not pick fault (read through my other reviews I write honestly, pick fault where warranted and compliment where due). Had this lovely little find been in our usual local it would surely become a regular haunt ours for sure. I would 100% recommend this place and extend our gratitude to all the staff for making our entire visit memorable and perfect."

"We were in Bury for a few days visiting family and the weather was beautiful , we live on the Wirral and frequently visit Brasco lounge in Liverpool of the same chain , which we love. We actually visited Racconto lounge 3 times on our visit , first time we had a brunch of bacon and egg muffin , which we really enjoyed (although the bacon was very salty) The next day we came back and had a lounge breakfast , and the following day we brought my husbands mum , and drank cups of tea while resting from shopping . We enjoyed all the meals , and its lovely inside , although we ate on the terrace in the sunshine and we found all the staff very pleasant and friendly . But..... we had 2 things let it down for us . Firstly on each occasion , the service was extremely slow, when we had breakfast , it wasn't very busy , but we waited ages , although our tea was brought out well before the food , meaning we then had no drinks to go with the food . The second problem was , after waiting ages , we had to send the breakfast back as it was really cold , and it seemed like it had been sat waiting , almost as long as we had , the bacon on both the breakfast muffin and the breakfast was really , really salty also. None of this would put us off , as we enjoyed the dining experience overall , but if you are in a rush , i really wouldn't recommend eating here , as the wait was alot longer than expected every time ."
