"The vegan menu here at The Old Rec is amazing, a real treat. I've been a few times lately and it's always difficult to choose what to order. I keep finding excuses to visit and escape from various friends. My only complaint is that the puddings on the menu were floating or similar and after all that lovely food in front of it there has never been room! I would like something lighter as an option. Highly recommended."

We came across the Old Rectifying House by chance. Spotted it had a vegan menu, and so stopped for a bite to eat and a beer. We have been back several times since. Feels upmarket. Very nice for dinner. Knowledgeable staff, and an innovative vegan menu. Delicious food. Great selection of vegan beers and wines. Great atmosphere. Beer garden for the summer. Handy for the cricket. We will be back.
