"We arrived to our big family booking early so had some drinks in the bar area while we waited. The table itself was definitely ready, we could see it, it being the only 12-seater table. Despite this, and despite us arriving early, they still seated us half an hour late from our original booking time. The waitress for our table once we were sat down was rude, uninterested and unhelpful. We sat for a further half hour before we had to request we have our order taken as we’d been waiting for so long. A drinks menu was requested and also never arrived at the table. We had to get up and go to the bar to ask if we could have more drinks at the table, to which the bar staff were saying that our server should have asked us and sorted it. At this point the waitress came over to see what the commotion was and then after saying we wanted to order drinks she rudely told us that she’d already been round our table to take orders and why hadn’t we already asked then. Drinks, once ordered, took far too long to arrive with some being missed off the order completely. When we asked if we could pay the bill, the waitress was again rude and impatient through the whole process. When we had finished with the bill, we had about 20 minutes waiting for our taxis to arrive, so decided to have another drink while we waited. However, the bar staff took that long to even acknowledge us at the bar that we had to abandon the idea as we had already waited 15 minutes to be served and we wouldn’t have had time to drink them. One of our party had put their coat in the cloakroom however when they went to retrieve it with the cloakroom ticket, the attendant couldn’t find it. Our friend was understandably panicking and very upset as the taxis were there ready to take us and the restaurant were saying they’d lost the coat. Our friend went to get the original attendant who had put it in the cloakroom to find it for her and meanwhile I went to check myself for the coat. Within in ten seconds I had located the coat, which as exactly where it should have been, on the coat hanger that responded to our friend’s ticket number. So why the attendant couldn’t find the coat is an absolute mystery when I myself found it within ten seconds after insisting I enter the cloak room and have a look for it myself. Overall, terrible service, stressful and unenjoyable experience and I would not recommend to anyone. Their only redeeming feature which is why they have been given a 2-star rather than 1-star rating is that the food was very nice and very good quality. The price we paid for it was expensive but worth it. The service charge however, which was automatically added to the bill, was not worth it and had we not already had such an ordeal trying to get the bill paid, I’d have insisted that be discounted from the total."

Lovely afternoon spent with friends at the now renamed Luciano. Food was great all the staff very pleasant, and a special thankyou to the manager Tom (I think) who was most professional and attentive despite being run of his feet.

The decor is costal and fresh and on a sunny evening has a vibrant atmosphere , 2 of the party had pasta carbonara which had bits of burnt pork scratchings in it , no diced pancetta no parmigiana no fresh parsley no taste . Sorry to say I was Disappointed

Well that was disappointing Given the state of play and uncertainty of hospitality, and the fact I know and use this brand U.K. wide this was a s show Your staff clearly do not want to be there and that was clear from the manager as his body language and attitude was awful. Value for money no ! £135 ok mainly a bottle of wine and the service charge but given the poor or lack of quality service feel this should of been credited as should the fact they served a cold and somewhat ‘been hanging around to dry up’ meal, accepted taken back and replenished but just poor. How many restaurants at this level do not serve your wine ? Although this took till the beginning of our main course to turn up View menu

First time visiting for my wife’s 50th. First impressions were good, lovely place and staff seemed attentive. The starter was really nice, only ruined by the mains coming before we had finished the starter. We ordered a second round of drinks which took 25 mins to arrive. I asked 3 times and was told they were on there way. When they finally arrived my wife’s drink was not what she ordered, was a rum based drink rather than gin. There were then 3 members of staff arguing right next to our table about the drinks orders being messed up. To top everything off I had called in advance and asked for a birthday cake to make it a special occasion, unfortunately this was forgotten about too. Overall...

The two-course luncheon menu of wild-mushroom risotto and tiramisu together with a glass of house-wine. For 3 people the bill was £101 which included a service charge of 10%. This was an extortionate price for very ordinary fare. Furthermore I had occasion to visit the toilet and was unable to open the door due to a faulty lock. This toilet was accessible up two flights of stairs and was deficient in ventilation. I had to bang on the door and shout for 20 minutes before my predicament was discovered by my friends who had become alarmed by my prolonged absence. The door has to be opened by the staff using a knife. There was no apology and the staff were unconcerned by my experience and were o...

Booked this restaurant as was staying in Alderley Edge for the night for my friends birthday. There were three of us in our party. Booked the table well in advance so not a last minute booking. On arrival on Saturday 27th November we were greeted by a lovely doorman but that's sadly where the good stuff ends. I checked in and said my reservation was for 7.30pm, the lady on the desk said it was booked for 7.45pm so we had to hang around (I even showed them my reservation text). We were showed to our table and we were sat in the conservatory, in the corner which was freezing. There was a DJ on and it was far too loud to speak to each other on the table. It went down hill from there. They had h... View menu

I visited with 3 friends to attend the Charlotte Tilbury make up master class evening, which included 2 drinks and a 3 course pre ordered meal for £45. On arrival the area being used for the event wasn 't ready. We were directed to the bar, which was fine, but a very cramped area for so many people, none of who were wearing masks. 4 drinks were £33 so not cheap! We were eventually shown to our table in the outdoor teepee, which was lovely! Pretty lighting and decorated beautifully. Our table was next to a heater which unfortunately smelt heavily of fuel and so we asked to be moved. The waiters moved us and re set the table. The master class was great! The 2 Charlotte Tilbury make up artists...

Visited here on a Saturday evening (booked about 2 months in advance) because we love the Knutsford Piccolino so much so wanted to try a different one for my Birthday. Well, what a mistake!! First of all we arrived and the lady seemed confused as to where to seat us, so asked us to wait in the bar. We walked into the bar and it was rammed. Loud music playing and really rowdy, literally being pushed out of the way and knocked into. After 40 minutes, I chased if a table was ready and luckily it was. We were sat next to the bar, music that loud that me my partner had to shout to have a conversation with each other. We 're in our 20 's so don 't mind loud music but it was way too loud for a nice...

"Having successfully deposited our eldest in her new Uni digs and having enjoyed an evenings kip in an adjoining Manchester hotel we were in two minds where to breakfast. MrsC’s growing angst over the likely state of our home after allowing our youngest free rein for a garden party proved persuasive so we decided on an early exit an victuals en route. A scan of Happy Cow and Google combined allied to our southbound travel threw up Wild and Wild as a convenient stop off before we rejoined the M6. Pleased to see that it opened at 10;00am on a Sunday whilst registering our likely arrival at 10:15 we added the required SatNav waypoint and trained our behemoth on its new path. There was convenient free parking on the Sunday and we ambled on the pedestrianised section to Wild and Wild; sitting slightly incongruously next to a Costa. The place is light and well laid out and an enticing array of cakes and pastries greets you as you enter. The usual instructive board informed us “to please wait to be seated” which we did. The young lady who appeared to be both front of house, barista and server said she would be with us after serving her present customer; which was fine but, in truth, simply having the menus on the tables and allowing you to sit yourself at empty unreserved tables would seemed to have been the least intrusive and effective means of managing the flow? Anyway we were handed drinks/food menus and then informed that we could, in effect, do exactly that and seat ourselves. The breakfast/brunch menu was concise but convincing and for speed and efficiency MrsC and I settled on two “full English”, vegan of course, and two oat milk lattes. Queued again and gave the order and paid there and then. Though we haven’t been out too much recently the coffee prices seemed about right but the breakfast seemed a tad high. Understanding how inflation is hitting that might just be an impression but if we had stayed in Manchester and returned to the Lounge a similar menu would have been 30% less. Then it started going awry. The wait for the coffee seemed long; the wait for the food almost interminable (around 40-45 mins in truth) Halfway through that wait another server had magicked into operation and it switched from queuing to order to table service. She was professional enough to highlight to new incoming customers that drinks would be about 10 mins/food 30. Something not considered worthy of note to us earlier arrivals. The breakfast was ok. The vegan sausages appeared homemade with rice wrapper “skins” but they were woefully dry and overcooked. The whole vine of oven roasted cherry tomatoes were good as was the star of the show the Smokey “baked beans”. The toast was good quality bread but cut too thin to successfully soak up both beans and the sweet tomatoes. The other components of mixed greens and mushrooms and tofu scramble were under seasoned and a little bland. The potato rosti was a little dense but ok. Sadly the food was underwhelming and more so due to the long wait; ill fitting the vibe and the surroundings especially as the place wasn’t heaving at any time. Always feel awkward knocking eateries in these uncertain times but, in this case, expectations raised by the feel of the place allied to the prices charged, we’re not met by the quality of the food. Perhaps it’s better suited to an afternoon cake and a drink session? Disappointed."
