"On our way from the railwaystation to the apartment we rented, we got lost, more or less, and passed Pilot. As it was late already and hadnt been eating whole day, we decided to stop. The place was packed, but they offered us seats at...a coffe table, and when some minutes later other people left we were offered a table. There was a large choice of veg dishes, we had a wonderful ratatouille with feta and very tasteful gnocchi. Though it was very busy, food came fast and the waitresses and waiter were all superfriendly. And all for a very reasonable price. After dinner, they ordered a taxi so we came fast to our appartment."

If you want to eat something with a historical twist, try Pilot! Original dishes as served by Mitropa in eastGerman trains: pie with mushrooms, Konigsberger potato, meatballs and sauce. All very tasty and well prepared. Very nice wines View menu

It looks like a hipster location and we expected young fresh kitchen. Unfortunately it turned out to be an illusion. The service personal without a smile reacting unwilling to our questions. The food doesn't reflect the promising description in the menu card.

Pilot was recommended to us as a casual bar/restaurant with a nice relaxed ambiance, and so it proved to be. Attentive friendly service and good food, generally a modern take based on local traditional cuisine. Serving sizes were filling, without being too large. The dumplings...were absolutely delicious.
