"Booked a 5.30 pm table for six small grand children and five adults to celebrate my wife’s birthday. In a not very busy restaurant it took one and a half hours to take our order and serve it up. When I say not very busy I’m referring to the sit down diners. The restaurant front of house was working in a frenzy to fulfil all the pizza delivery orders of which there were masses. We took a very long second place . After our third polite reminder the Manager turned ugly and screamed at my adult daughter in front of all the other customers. With this outburst we refused to pay for the diabolical food when it did come in view of a completely spoilt evening for all of us. Her response was “Fine” so we left. The worst experience I have ever had in a Pizza Express restaurant. And the last until someone gets a grip on places like this and installs competent and fully trained supervisory staff."

The pizza arrived extremely cold. It was so cold that the cheese topping had become hard and stale therefore inedible. For the price of the pizza paid almost £17 I would expect it to be at least decent. Won't be ordering from again a total waste of money and appetite. The Wokingham team are outstanding! You always feel well looked after welcomed so warmly. The food is always excellent I always feel safe eating there, which as a coeliac is extremely important! the brownie is the best brownie EVER!! Wonderful experience as always! This place is an absolute shambles.more staff than customers but still terrible service, chef outside smoking, staff more interested in talking than taking our drinks and food order. so poor we walked out after 20 minutes of waiting (not done that before). Probably the best pizzas in any restaurant. Everything is just right, not to oily, fresh ingredients, cooked perfectly. Not as much topping as Domino's, but not as oily. Half the size of Pizza Hut pizza's and double the price. But if you want very good pizza, in a restaurant, this place is hard to beat. Parking: Plenty of free parking in Wokingham after 6.30pm. Despite living in Wokingham for the last years this is the first time we have visited this branch of pizza express. I have to say that I was very impressed with the food, atmosphere and service. Our waiter was very friendly and the service was great despite them being super busy due to the carnival taking place on the day we visited. The restaurant was very clean, there was lots of space between the tables and the children were well accomodated. Will go again.
