Pizza Express - Menu

Staff seemed to treat customers as a chore. Spicy beef pizza was lacking spicy beef, the gluten free goats cheese pizza was tasty but only after it was sent back to be cooked. The cheesy dough balls were lacking, well, ...dough balls, only 6 dough balls for almost £6. Overall, disappointing and expensive.

The service was amazing, friendly and quick! I had the best pizza in a long while. I asked the name of the chef because he was such a star. His food had a real extra to it. It seemed like a well run place and the staff were efficient despite there being just a few of them. I'm not sure how they managed to serve everyone. The team is a real credit to Pizza Express.

I Called in to this pizza express restaurant hoping to have a nice satisfying pizza but i was dissapointed with the small amount of topping that was on the pizza, it looked like a thin one you can buy from a supermarket- But for a high price ! Popped down for a takeaway after a long day working on Bank Holiday picked up 3 pizzas, 1 garlic bread a salad. Salad garlic bread were nice. The 3 pizzas were dry, tasteless and stone cold after a less than 5 minute drive home, and burnt to the point that at least 20% of each pizza was charcoal… not even the chickens would eat it! Exceptionally disappointing at the price point.

Ready in as little as 6 minutes??? I phoned for 40 minutes repeatedly to pre-order book a table as it’s a Friday evening. No answer. When I got there the manager said it would be 25 minutes to order a take away! That’s first class fast food for you. I asked him why he didn’t answer the phone and he said because they were too busy. This was the manager, who wouldn’t provide his name! No wonder they have an awful rating on here….

We were staying at the Ramada hotel for 1 night after a lovely day sight seeing around Oxford city centre , we arrived at the restaurant around 8 pm and it was quite busy and the two gentleman that we assume was running the restaurant were only to happy to find us a table . The service by these to guys was brilliant and the food was excellent, there were four empty plates and we would definitely return when we are around the Oxford area . Well done to all of the team . Travelling home from Gatwick after a wonderful holiday we called in these services for something to eat. We chose pizza express as we’ve always enjoyed meals in other restaurants before. The place was busy but our order was taken in a timely manner however we waited, and waited for our food. We chased up our order a couple of times but It took simply ages and others who arrived after us got theirs before us. They seemed understaffed and unable to cope with the volume of customers. When the food did come my pasta dish was spicy hot but had little flavour. The pizza my husband had was ok. Overall disappointing visit here, won’t be in a hurry to eat here again.

They were unable to apply the student discount on their system and proceeded to tell us that it was our fault because of what we ordered and conflicting with the promo (it wasn’t). Very rude and gas lighting when trying to solve. We were being very pleasant but the manager gas lit us into making us think it was our issue, saying we shouldn’t have ordered certain food, or that it wasn’t valid on a Tuesday (despite the offer being valued Sunday-Thursday). Wish they were just honest they didn’t know how to make the system work, rather then being rude to us. Food was awful for a £16 pizza, management were incompetent and rude. Usually enjoy the pizza express experience but this is by far the worst restaurant I have visited. The service was shocking! The restaurant was quiet but there were 4/5 staff stood around chatting and on their phones and the only person who seemed to be doing anything was a young girl who advised it was her first day. She was actually the only helpful and polite member of staff there. When asking why it was taking over an hour to get our food the waitress who we finally managed to speak to said ‘why, are you in a rush?’.
