"My wife I usually use a Thai restaurant in Peterborough but decided to give the Sassi's in Bourne a try weren't disappointed. We've undoubtedly found a new favorite Thai restaurant for the future. FOOD fantastic choice of dishes, far more than we are...used to, to the point we struggled to choose our main dishes. We played it safe choose Thai green curries but next time we will certainly try something else. So many appertising dishes to try in future. SERVICE was spot on, not quick but very helpful nothing was too much trouble. We will certainly go back in the future can't wait."

Amazing food as always. I really don’t understand why it’s never very busy inside as the food is the best Thai food you can find locally.

Food was nice but just really small portions. There were only 2 tables in but it took ages to come. I think you would need a couple of dishes per person to be full. Good location in town.

Went to Sassi's 8th Aug with my partner and friends. Lovely place to go, the food was great. We had a mix of starters and curry's and all were fantastic, we'll definitely be back! Thank you Sassi.

Me and my partner ordered a takeaway from sassis, rather than sitting in. I was thoroughly impressed with the quality of the food, it was very tasty. I recommended the wings in red wine sauce and for a main the beef stir fry spicy..

Highly recommended Thai restaurant which myself, family, and friends all frequent regularly for both eating in and takeaways. Friendly family run business. Food tastes healthy and authentic. My favourites are the curries. Includes a good selection of vegan options including tofu dishes. Bourne is lucky...to have such good local restaurant.

Visited on a Friday evening and was surprised by how few people dined while we were there. We shared four mains between us plus starters and rice. The food we had was lovely but the portion size very disappointing. One of our mains was an aubergine dish and served on the smallest plate ever. Lovely flavours but left feeling hungry which isn’t ideal. The only dish that was a seasonable portion size was a Pad Thai.

we visited sassis in their first night of reopening after we have been closed for some time for family reasons. we have always loved this restaurant and were very glad to see them again open. eating was amazing as always, service brilliant and we had. a great evening. they had a slight personal problem, but they worked very hard to ensure that our experience was not influenced. thanks many and we will be back soon!

I had a farewell from here. none of our meals were freshly cooked; I had guessed in the order an hour before picking up so they cooked it immediately and then left it standing. noodles were muddy; none of the veg was crispy; the bark. was the terrible reconstituted witness; the early roll was tiny and burned; al of it was only warm, not hot. would have been much better to get ready meals of lidl and do us in the microwave; tastier, fresher and much cheaper.

We went as a family to celebrate our son's 50th birthday. There was a very friendly welcome by the staff, and shown to our table. The waiters were quick, efficient, friendly and very helpful as this was our first time at a Thai resturant. The...food was serviced so that there was enough time to enjoy each meal. It was nice and hot, and you could taste each spice that was in the recipe. The resturant had a good atmosphere, pleasant decor, and warm as outside it was cold nod wet.

"The Stag Inn is a delightful looking pub overlooking the small green in the village of Barkston near Grantham. Internally the pub is clean and tidy with a range of two and four seater tables with New England shades of light blue on the painted table legs in the restaurant area. We didn’t venture into the pub side so can’t vouch for the decor in there. We arrived unannounced just after opening time of 12 and were offered a table with no difficulty. There was a menu of the usual offerings of fish and chips and a range of burgers together with roast salmon, chargrilled pork chop, a leek and cauliflower cheese pot pie, ham egg and chips and a vegetable lasagne amongst others. A specials chalkboard hung on the far wall and the crab and prawn salad with Mediterranean bread sounded so good we both opted for it. That was a mistake as we were to find out. The meals were reasonably quick to arrive and were served up in two large bowls with a dusting of paprika round the edges. What hit me immediately was the large flaccid green lettuce leaf draped over the edge of the bowl, together with a whole half-a-lemon that we each had. A small wedge would be perfect. The bread tasted sweet and was as far from the Mediterranean as it could possibly be apart from the occasional input of sundried tomato. What irked me most though was that the bread was delivered up pre-buttered with what looked like some bright yellow catering spread. A small ramakin of real butter between the two of us would work so much better. When asked if everything was okay I mentioned this and was told that chef would be informed. Having said all that the crab and prawn salad was full of flavour and sat on a nice mixed salad of red peppers, lettuce, red onion and cornichons. A word of advice to the wise….. don’t sit at the table near the restaurant counter as this is where the pub’s phone is located. On at least two occasions the phone was left to ring unanswered by the staff, presumably as they were busy elsewhere (the pub was by no means full) and was right behind my head! The volume of the ringer was high and it would have been a more pleasant experience for us if, firstly, it was answered and, secondly, the volume was turned down. On the plus side the staff were polite and helpful but the food not so great."
