eravamo già stati in passato, posto molto bello e suggestivo, persona attenta e preparata. le eccellenti tartufi e la torta al cioccolato meglio di quanto ricordassimo. un po' troppo tempo di attesa!

Cioe', sono appena capitato a Barga all'ora di pranzo e mi sono fidato della mia fortuna, spesso intuizione. questa volta è andato bene: tartufo, guancia di manzo e patate al forno! È un peccato che l'autonomia dei nostri apparati digerenti non ci abbia permesso di assaggiare altre prelibatezze, ma ora conosciamo la strada. Bene!

Sono venuta a Barga con il mio ragazzo e lasciandomi consigliare ho scelto questo ristorante per la cena, e devo dire che ho fatto benissimo! Io e il mio ragazzo siamo rimasti strabiliati dalla bontà dei piatti. Tornerei a Barga solo per poterci rimangiare! Personale molto carino e preparato. I prezzi leggermente al di sopra della media ma a parere mio li valgono dato che sono uscita da quel ristorante super appagata. View menu

This quaint little restaurant was recommended by the hotel. As others have said, it was very hard to find, but well worth the back-and-forth. Appreciated being greeted with a very delicious glass of Prosecco, so good I had a second! Focaccia was also quite tasty as I reviewed the menu. I ordered the steak tartare with black truffles followed by St Peter’s fish and sweet-and-sour onions. The chocolate soufflé was exquisite! The owner suggested a wine which was only €15 for the entire bottle so he sent it home with me. Would highly recommend.

Absolutely fabulous lunch with a group of friends on a long trip to Italy. Voted #1 meal by most of the group. A little hard to find as others have written but Barga is a medieval hill town and exploring is half the fun. Please make the effort. Service is excellent and when we were there there was a live feed of the kitchen so you could see your food prepared. The restaurant is run by 3 siblings (2 brothers a sister who does the cooking. I will not go through the menu but we ordered 7 different dishes and all of were terrific. Trout is a speciality but we were out of season. Dessert: We order 3 different soufflés and all were great (Order early) Wine: House red was terrific as was the white....

At a time when most « eateries » can’t call them restautants) are serving the same menu everywhere charcuterie platters, pinse, tartare steak , tacos, and so forth, Booooring) this is a real restaurant. There are a couple of other good ones in Barga one serving traditional Tuscan dishes which are excellent, and another specializing in fish, while Scacciaguai has wisely chosen to have more sophisticated dishes, and it was refreshing. Kudos to the young owners. The ambiance is pleasant and intimate, the service is smiling and friendly. Riccardo is extremely competent with the wines. They have an extensive wine list, focusing on Tuscan wines and even more on the local ones from Lucca province.... View menu
