"we went last night to serendipity in priority for the mysterium tasting menu. we were also overnight in this beautiful, quirky hotel. first, the service. that was honestly the best service we have received in a restaurant. the personal is fantastic, very attentive, but...not invasive. we had our own private dining room, which was fantastic and the waiters somehow arrived on time to gather each of our tellers as soon as we were done with each cursor. I wanted to draw attention to the workers we met; tom makes the best cocktails and is very attentive, daniel lived the evening with his interesting conversation, ben was one of the most efficient waiters I've ever seen, and paul is one of the most beautiful men we've ever met and an incredible chef. we have 12 wonderful courses, among them 2 more palate. we had nipples and cale, smoked salmon, meatballs, fish cake, a ham dish, a cheese dish, cajau, ruckpartridge, chocolate orange brownie, lemon cheesecake and chai tee with millionaire shortbread. the food was cooked and my food restrictions were taken into account. third, our overnight. the room was beautiful and the bed was incredibly comfortable. it was clean and warm and the bath was huge! we have a huge, delicious frey in the morning, which perfectly ended our stay. Overall, I would say that everyone who loves good eating, unique experiences and a friendly atmosphere must visit this place. we have one of the best weeks and we will definitely be back!"

I had a wonderful dining experience at a picturesque restaurant. The staff were friendly and attentive. I ordered the vegetarian taster menu, while my friend opted for the meat menu. Although it was advertised as 7 courses, the chef surprised us with 12 delicious dishes. Be sure to save room for dessert, as the chocolate fondant was divine. I highly recommend visiting this restaurant if you are in the area.

We were brought to this incredible restaurant while visiting our friends who have relocated to Louth. It was a fantastic evening. The 10 courses we had were all unique and delicious. Our group was seated in a private room, making us feel like royalty. The staff was excellent, timing their service perfectly - taking our orders, serving each dish, and clearing the table. The wine was reasonably priced. We will definitely come back when we are in the area again.

We booked last minute and were a bit hesitant as we were unfamiliar with Louth, but what a pleasant surprise! The charming building is equipped with a unique selection of retro furniture. Our group of 4 had our own private dining room with a view of the beautiful garden. The staff was incredibly attentive, friendly, and helpful. The food was excellent, priced at £25 per person for 2 courses and coffee, which was a steal for the quality. I especially enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere and the fact that we could bring our dog into the private dining area. If we lived closer, we would definitely become regulars. There is also parking available right outside, which is an added bonus.

We ate at Serendipity in late November 2021. A table had been set in a separate dining area just for the two of us. It had been set with all of the cutlery and glasses placed to perfection on a lovely polished table. Although we...had expected 7 courses I think we actually had 9. Each course was well presented and I believe one had been specifically designed for us based on the local produce that I had discussed earlier with Paul, the manager and chef. All courses tasted superbly. We both thoroughly enjoyed them all. I must also mention the staff who served us with the food and drinks. They were really good and attended to all of our needs. In summary this is one not to be missed if you visi...

we visited the 3rd march to celebrate our high-time anniversary and had the 7-course menu. wow! what an amazing experience! every cure was beautifully presented and tasted incredible, with a lot of ingredients, melted together to make mouth water meal, skillfully cooked by paul...with its extensive knowledge of the kitchen. we have dined in the Captain’s room in a cozy and relaxed environment, which was expected by ben and tom attentively, who explained each cure in turn. for our joy we were served 3 additional courses! at the end of the meal we were offered a guide of ben, which explained the history of the prior in detail. what a fantastic night we will definitely visit again. this place i... I don’t know where to start! The place is amazing, from the moment we were greeted by Daniel at the door . We were made to feel so welcome. Drinks in the bar, with the very knowledgable barman( sorry I think his name was Sam),...then shown though to our table in a little private room, just for the 4 of us. We were asked if the temperature was ok, if the music was too loud, they really wanted us to feel at home, and we did! As for the food…..just awesome, all 9 courses. I love the ethos of the place, the building, the enthusiasm of all the staff. The chef/owner came round at the end for a chat, just perfect. We ate mushroom tea, salmon with samphire, wild boar, shrimp hash, duck and popcorn s...

Overall the concept is great! The Serendipity is staffed by special people providing jobs for people with learning difficulties, in a quirky setting serving local seasonal food! The charm of the place is let down my the menu and not to sound sexist.. but...‘a woman’s touch’ when comes to detail and toilets! Food wise,.. Just a lot of dishes one after another… not tasting menu! Although local products and cooked correctly, felt the menu was poorly constructed and uncomplimentary! Lacked fluidity! Nothing to tantalize the taste buds (Amuse-Bouche just straight in with a hot ‘heavy’ meat ball dish! Felt full directly! No time or cleanse pallet before moving from meat to fish dish! Serving shell...

"Booked stayed at this place very recently having read the excellent reviews. As a very level headed person, certainly not delusional I failed in trying to recognise or match the place based on any of the reviews posted on Booking.com The place, whilst very quaint appealing from the outside is in direct contrast to the inside! In reality, it 's very much in dire need of deep cleaning, redecorating and refurbishing. The food, not sure who prepared the meals in the reviews I read, but fail to see how it could be the same chef as the one that cooked ours! Our meals arrived no less than 40 minutes after ordering. The drinks to occupy us while we waited never did arrive when our meals finally arrived served (if slapping on the table warrants being called served three out of the five items that made up the meal were uncooked, cold unedible! The excuse given by the waitress, is far too busy and understaffed, yet despite not being able to fulfil the job paid for, they still take fee paying guests who are treated far less than second class citizens to the regular clientele supping at the bar! Far too busy but not enough to stop them from taking longer than necessary to laugh talking to the regulars! Needless to say, we ate at other places for the rest of our stay. DO NOT BE FOOLED, as we were by the reviews, which have stayed are extremely questionable indeed! If one is used to using hostels I can see this could be deemed as good, if not excellent accommodation. On the flip side, if one is used to hotels that are clean customer focused then this hotel (a grand name for nothing more than a public house with accommodation not a very good or pleasant one at that is not the one for you!!"
