"If I have a local meeting, I often head off to the restaurant by the iconic, quite beautiful and spectacular Neasden Temple on Meadow Garth, NW10. Incidentally, it's about five minutes walk from the centre of Harlesden and has a car park to boot. Cool, modern, spacious and run by delightful people, heading straight for the weekly buffet is just a delight; a colourful and exotic looking array of typical Indian fare. Very fresh looking salads accompanied the spicy dhal, crisp, vegetable samosas, okra, potatoes, rice, paatra (a kind of vine leaf wrapped around gram flour and spices which is then steamed and sliced thinly, some delicious raita and a wonderful array of pickles and chutneys for scooping up with fried papads and not a drop of oil in sight. Jugs of water were on the table and the end of the meal we were served with shrikhand, a yogurt based dessert made with saffron, cardamom and sugar that was creamy and light, if not a tad too sweet for my tooth, but very much liked by my dining companions. Having never tried a couple of the dishes, our waiter was very happy to spend time explaining the ingredients and cooking method which I found very charming indeed. At just under eight quid per person, you can stuff your face to your heart's desire as you can help yourself to as much as your belly can take. Whilst it isn't going to win any culinary awards, Shayona is an honest, simple place that serves flavoursome Gujarati food served with that gentle Indian demeanour which I find delightful. For eight quid you just can't go wrong. Abhinandana."

Set on the grounds of the BAPS Swaminarayan Mandir (Temple) in Neasen, this is honestly a little piece of delicious heaven.

It was our first visit and our family is disappointed yesterday due to poor service and a very long for the main course and finally ask to pack so we can go home and eat. Starters portion was very less and quick but a not ending wait for main course. Staff was asking why are you sitting then said that we are waiting for main course . We felt that they completely forgot about our order and didn't apologies for their mistakes.

fun and friendly the buffet gives large metal tablets and small pots to fill with the most vegan buffet items. there was a good selection of rich beans/lentil cuurries to fresh vegetables. the staff made us a delicious whole meal roti instead of the naans of the buffet which had on them without additional cost. really good mood, and eating was enjoyed by my daughter (7) and I both! free parking. and take them Indian sweets, mostly vegan with helpful staff to guide in the selection of the Deli counter. shayona is located directly opposite the famous Neasden Temple in london. in principle it is in the connection that serves as a parking space for Temple visitors. I landed from stockholm after my 2 weeks long office trip in london, and my cousin living in london, took me from Heathrow and brought me here! it was a Friday night and shayona was not very crowded, but from any reason it took us to serve over 20 minutes. But eating was great and they even offered additional sambhar something that I personally did not see much in london. in any case, this place will visit again if I am in london soon!

Located just opposite the beautiful Swaminarayan temple of London , next to a very a useful Indian store , is this restaurant called Shayona. I 've been here more than twice and I absolutely love the quality of food they serve ! My personal recommendation would be to try 'Pav bhaji ' , you cannot leave the place without trying it . Cost for two would be about 20-30 pounds . The ambience is amazing, very authentic ! The service however is not so great rather slow . I would also recommend this place to all those people who don 't have GARLIC AND ONION , esp the Jain group and trust me the taste of the food doesn 't suffer at all !
