"Tucked away from the hustle and bustle of Ealing Broadway, you can find this veritable oasis of tranquillity and charm in Walpole Park. Its elegant yet understated setting is matched by a corteous yet welcoming service and a good selection of dishes. On a quiet Wednesday afternoon we enjoyed a fantastic and colourful butternut squash salad and a Caesar salad and shared a slice of homemade cake, a very moist coffee and orange cake, I think. The espresso was very good too, and (believe me! I can prove a very difficult customer to please when it comes to coffee! The excellent and friendly service by Simone completed our experience. If you are looking for a nice, relaxing place where to meet a friend, carry out some work, take the children after school for a run in the park and a substantial slice of homebaked cake... this is the place for you. I'll be back. Definitively with the same dear friend and hopefully with my family!"

We had such a perfect late lunch here, the seating was charming, staff were very attentive and considerate (thank you Sarah for your extra efforts) and the food was delicious. Especially enjoyed the cauliflower soup, chips and fish of the day. Highly recommend, will be back.

We had high hopes for this place, you’d consider the setting and think it was relatively high end but in actuality it leaves you wanting more. The service was nice but the food is bland, unseasoned and unimaginative and more similar to what you’d expect at a cheap canteen. £30 for the most medocre brunch in Ealing.

We were served by Simone, who was polite, knowledgeable, fun and attentive to just the right degree. The decor is a bit unusual but the furniture is comfortable to sit on and we liked the style. The food was good too: each of our 3 courses was delicious, without the portions being overly large. 3 courses with wine, drinks and coffees came to just under £100, including service, which was good value. We’ll visit again!

Saw that the the team were doing Friday late and thought we'd pop in last night. Arrived at 615pm and whilst no one sat down there was a couple groups chatting near the bar. Asked at the bar if we could see the drinks list and after some confusion told sorry we're closed , not enough customers so we've closed early . A big sign board outside says open till 10pm Friday, all the lights on and doors open staff behind bar....but we are closed

Came here for a coffee at 10:30 am. Waited 20 minute in a queue in the cold whilst two staff moved like snails between the bar and coffee machine. When we got to end of queue, turned out the group before us had cleared out all the good cakes and there was allegedly a backlog of 40 customers which the staff said they had to serve. So told us to wait 10 minutes for coffee. Only crappy doughnuts left on counter. Nowhere else to get to quickly so forced to remain. Never again.

Recently had a dinner with a group of friends at Soane's. The word on the street was that post Covid it was a very different establishment to its pre Covid existence in terms of the food and service. So glad we booked. We had a really lovely meal and the food/service was very good. The reason for the change we discovered is Sebastian the new General Manger, who is passionate about every facet to the customer experience. He really is determined to provide excellence and his staff definitely achieved the night we were there. So delighted this wonderful building and garden vista now have food/service to match. We will be back.

The food was really good. Our group had the turkey (fantastic) and burger which was also very nice. Starters were delicious too. Wine a bit expensive though. The place itself was calm and great ambience. Great for a quiter dinner with friends. A big shout out to Hugo. Great guy, very attentive and charming. He kept an eye on the diners and was so helphul. Shame about the other waiters that stood around in the bar area chatting not noticing our table waving to them as we wanted to pay our bill. Hugo noticed even though he was busy and sorted us out. The bill having already been calculated for split payments. Genius idea and so obvious. When you go to eat there ask for Hugo. Cant wait to go ba...

The Soane’s Kitchen restaurant has had a little chequered history since it opened 3 years ago. First operators were a light on food and heavy on price. Lockdown. Now rebirth. That it’s Ealing’s best location for a restaurant is not in doubt. Now the food and service matches. Ourselves and another couple had the nduja scotch eggs, cauliflower soup and liver terrine. Really delicious. For main we had lamb rump, sea bass and chicken. 1. Amazing flavours. Beautifully cooked 3. Lovely service 4. Gorgeous location with the fold back doors open out onto the garden and diners outside enjoy the balmy September weather. Our guests from outside Ealing were blown away. Having had dinner at the Ivy Cafe...

"If you live in or visit Hanwell you must take a lazy walk down by the locks and build up an appetite before heading to the W7 Emporium. It’s a little white door by a crappy old man pub sat next to a small florist. Open the door and the atmosphere is straight away comfortable, your away from the street and simply relaxed and at home. The staff are friendly and offer as much banter as you want to be involved with so this is nice and a change from the branded offerings. The furniture is mix and match and the space light and airy so it fits well with Hanwells vibe and there is an outdoor space for the summer. The menu I would describe as funky modern Mediterranean, and there are no sausages which for me can be an issue. But if I’m being 100% honest I couldn’t care less here, the options here are well thought and imaginative. If you want a fry up there are other places in Hanwell to get one but if you want a Mexican there is only one place and that’s here. Ok I’ve given away my ultimate fave thing on the menu it’s what I have and it’s spot on. Poached eggs, nice bread, salad, crispy bacon, avocado and spicy sauce all out together and presented beautifully. So here we go it’s hands down the best place in Hanwell and if you want wine with brunch that’s fine because they serve that too. Have a couple then walk back to the canal and enjoy the afternoon whatever the season it’s a regular weekend jaunt and a compromise between a fry up for me and something healthy for the wife. In the eternal battle of good verses evil the Emporium emerges victorious every time."
