"Another venue I've been meaning to visit for a while and was not disappointed. It was a real trip into Americana with walls adorned with all manner of items from across the US...laying the foundations for a real dinner diner experience. In truth there was...virtually nothing on the menu I wasn't attracted to but went for the salt and chilli wings followed by the Texan chilli on a jacket potato (washed down by the sublime Birra tti)...one of the most basic dishes but a genuine all-time favourite of mine. They nailed it...and the same could be said for the array of dishes consumed by friends. It was so well presented and backed up by brilliant customer service from a friendly team of staff...another must return restaurant experience...and I will many times!!"

Excellent food, great service in a lovely venue. I have been before with kids and it’s a great kids menu and child friendly.

Lovely meal with family more than enough food to fill our tummies Good clean service and even colouring pencils and puzzles to keep the grandchildren happy whilst waiting for food to be served. View menu

We popped in yesterday evening for a meal before going to see the new Bond film. We eat downstairs in a surprisingly large room and service was prompt and friendy. nachos followed by a not too hot bowl of chilli was just the job and...at a sensible price.

Booked on a busy Saturday evening and table available at the right time. Big menu and can’t fault the food, definitely better quality than might be expected of a diner style eatery so would recommend. Only reason for dropping a star was the gentleman serving...us, maybe having an off night but no enthusiasm or interest, not in our table at least.

The pizzas are absolutely brilliant. Proper Italian style, thin base with a decent amount of topping. The only reason I didn't give this a full stars was the gentleman who appeared to be the manager give off a couldn't be bothered vibe and was...a bit grumpy, it had maybe just been a long night though. The food quality and price definitely counterbalanced the service. Would go again if I was in the area. View menu

I'd read the reviews on trip advisor for this place so we were looking forward to a tasty treat so it was even more disappointing that it was so uninspiring. It was very unauthentic and nothing special taste wise, I get that lots of places...use Brakes Brothers etc but I like it better when it doesn't look like they just defrosted it in the microwave. The service was alright but a bit slapdash and careless. The table was sticky. It didn't feel value for money and I wouldn't go back.

we go here very regular and it was our favourite place for years to take the kids who love the pizza and chicken strips.the last visit was not so good, most things were ok but the chicken burger on a roll with chips at the side...was disgusting.the chicken was slimey and hard and didnt look or taste like chicken,it must have been a very very low grade of chicken.i understand hospitality is struggling and people are cutting corners to save money, but eating out in some places is getting more expensive and lower quality.please change your chicken burgers state as you will get more complaints

"On our last day here, killing time before the ferry, decided to try luncheon here. No expectations either way. And we were TOTALLY wowed it was just excellent. Trying not to put too many superlatives in this review, but it was really, really ace. We had a lovely table by the window overlooking the harbour where you could see dog walkers, children in wellies, crabbing, and little boats coming and going. Classic Islay. Then I have to mention the food. Jeez, it was top notch, and huuuuuuuge portions. I don’t think we’ve ever had four such consistently generous and fulfilling portions before. We had the scallops (massive, juicy, plentiful , the Crofter’s Platter, which was cheeses, hams, sausage rolls, salad, bread, chutneys; the soup massive bowl, loadsa crispy sourdough bread, and the fish and chips which was so big it draped over the plate! All delicious. Our guy, Andrew, was superb, so attentive and smiley and always bringing us more things, spoons, drinks, more bread, spoons, he was great. And we had a lovely chat with the very friendly and nice proprietor. She was wonderful. Really seemed to care about the place and her team. She told us all about the hotel and stuff it was really cool. We will most certainly come back here next time. You can’t necessarily get the best table every time, but we won’t mind if we don’t! : Oh, also, lovely clean loos!"
