"We stopped by after a family stroll and were greeted with a warm welcome. It's a dog-friendly pub, accommodating even our large dog. The service was excellent, and our food arrived promptly. The portion sizes were generous and the dishes very tasty. Both of our boys enjoyed dessert, particularly the hot brownie with ice cream, which they loved. Price per person: £10–20. Food: 5/5. Service: 5/5. Atmosphere: 5/5."

The coffee is exquisite, and there's an impressive selection of cakes, pastries, and savory pastries. The lemon drizzle cake is truly exceptional, and the staff is incredibly friendly and attentive.

I stopped by while Sid was getting his haircut and I can highly recommend the bacon and egg sandwiches – they were delicious! I also picked up a granary loaf, which I can confidently say is excellent.

When I called during the afternoon lull, the Christmas decorations were being put up, and although the Gold Bitter was unavailable, the Thwaites Original Bitter was possibly the best I've ever had. Price per person: £1–10.
